I want to like this place. I DO like John and Matt (who may or may not be an employee there). John is especially cool. Very laid back and accommodating.
The store is a Mom-and-Pop shop, which I like. But it appears to be poorly run. The refrigerator hasn't been repaired in days. The roof leaks. The bathroom is inconvenient and filthy. The air quality is poor. The sanitation of the playing tables is dreadful. There is a lot of street noise when the door is open.
They do recycle and have a lot of variety and inclusivity in their merchandise. Their prices are a little high, at least for commons. And the crowded arrangement of display cases and playing tables makes me, an autistic transwoman, very uncomfortable.
I do have concerns still about child safety in general, which I definitely do not feel is so. Definitely not child safe.

If you live close enough, this is the place to take your pull list, for the price and because their pull list service is great as well. They opened in the early/mid 1990s, so they've been around too. A great friendly staff, another one of their strong points. If I still collected new comics, Mega City One would be the plizzace where I get my new comics.
