Got to the restaurant around 8pm with no reservation for two people. When I came in, there was no greeting and you can see the kitchen staff visibly upset/annoyed. A few minutes later the host/server appeared and asked if we had a reservation; we told him we didn't and he asked us to sit and wait so we can get a table. We agreed and waited; however before going back to see if there was a table ready the host went to another worker and started to argue with him in front of us. After waiting 5-10 minutes he asked us to follow him towards the back only to find that there were already clean and empty tables. He just pointed at the table and said there and left. Another 5-10 minutes pass and then he comes around to ask us if we had already ordered our food.(We didn't) We placed in our drinks and orders and then he left. I had ordered the Penne & Pink Sauce and my friend ordered the Pesto Penne. Both tasted so bland and I wish I could say that it tasted like home cooked pasta, but this was far more bland, greasy, and less flavorful than home-cooked pasta and SO MUCH OIL. Especially the Pesto Penne, you can tip the plate and see how much oil is put in it. I couldn't finish the first plate, and I figured I could just go on and order the second plate of pasta. After waiting 30 minutes he came back and asked how we were doing and I asked if we could do another round. He then grabbed the table top sign holder and then said you cant until you clean your plate. My friend said she couldn't finish her pasta because there was so much oil. He allowed for my friend to order another item and so they ordered the Angel Hair Pasta Primavera. Again another oily, bland dish. It would have been nice if there was salt and pepper on the table to help with the flavors but they had nothing on the table for us. When the second dish came out, another gentlemen brought the food and he was very nice. Overall the energy was very awkward and tense, you can see the server/host arguing consistently with his other coworkers, and in front of guest and he was always on the little tablet. He never cared to check all his guests only specific ones. Overall, don't come here. It might be a decent price, but the quality could have definitely been better. For sure will never be...

I was really looking forward to trying Pasta Amore, as its concept sounds amazing. Unfortunately, my recent Sunday visit with a reservation was a significant letdown. Upon arrival, the restaurant was chaotic. Despite a packed front, the back was empty, they have a system of seating everyone simultaneously, which overwhelmed the kitchen. This led to incredibly slow service and incorrect orders. My boyfriend and I, despite being incredibly patient (we entertain each other), waited two hours. Our initial orders were "lost and misplaced." He never received his chicken parmesan, which was given to a later-seated table, and his Caesar salad took 40 minutes. My spicy rigatoni vodka tasted like Velveeta, and other dishes were flavorless and oily. The 51-minute maximum stay sign is misleading; you're unlikely to receive even your first dish by then. I felt for the staff, who appeared completely overwhelmed by both dine-in and pickup orders. While the concept is great, the execution is very poor. The pasta needs a major upgrade, and the restaurant is severely understaffed. I won't be returning unless there are significant menu and operational changes. This experience was a huge contrast to other reviews, making me question their authenticity. I can’t imagine anyone saying it was flavorful and they had speedy service. The only thing that I really liked was the ambience as the chairs were really comfy. Which is a good thing because you wait forever for anything. Them serving us the wrong dishes and in plastic containers at that, really made the experience weird...

The pasta here was absolutely delicious. They have an all-you-can-eat deal for $13.99--worth it! We tried the pesto pasta 👍 and added grilled chicken (meh), the Angel hair, and the mushroom alfredo. Each dish came out piping hot, straight from the saute pan, and was beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. The waiter was a real sweetheart and took good care of us. The atmosphere was kind of dark, my friend found it a little depressing, and the music was just a little too loud, making conversation slightly difficult. There were also two large screen TVs one playing reality and the other playing a movie, which was kind of weird. That would be more appropriate in a sports bar. Given the generous portions and the price point, understand that this is not a fancy place. The dishes are plastic, like Melmac or something. You got a fork and a couple of paper napkins in a red plastic basket. The five stars is for the first class food and the service, despite the low class plates and such. The next time I need to pig out on pasta, I am...

This spot in Melrose is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is stunning. It instantly feels warm and inviting. You can tell they put a lot of thought into every detail. The food is incredibly fresh you can taste the quality in every bite. From appetizers to dessert, everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. Service was impressively fast without ever feeling rushed, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made the experience even better. And in this economy, it's rare to find a place that delivers this level of quality and flavor at such amazing prices. It honestly feels like a hidden treasure in Los Angeles. Can't recommend it enough, I'll definitely be coming back!

Pasta Amore is hands down my new favorite spot in LA. The pasta is fresh, made to order, and you can eat as much as you want—it honestly feels like you’re at a family dinner. Every sauce I tried was delicious, and the portions are super generous. The vibe inside is fun and welcoming, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I also loved that they have free parking right on Melrose, which makes it even easier to come by. Big plus that they just added wings to the menu—such a good surprise! If you love pasta (or just good food in general), you have to check this place out. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Unfortunately I’m really confused about the hype. I didn’t have high expectations but expected to a least enjoy it. I did the all you can eat and started with chicken parm. The chicken was overcooked and tough. The spaghetti was a very simple light red sauce. I felt like I could make it at home. I tried the mushroom Alfredo next. It was a little better. Al dente texture pasta, again simple sauce with light flavor, but decent. What killed it was the excessive and dry parsley. It felt like I was crunching on dry leaves with every chew. The mushrooms had little flavor as well. Overall I left really disappointed.
