i cant do 2.5 stars for some reason so its a 3 for now. came in originally just wanting to get a pedi but they convinced me to get gel x too and i just went with it bc i saw the amazing reviews. i showed the lady what design i wanted and not only did she keep brushing off my feedback she was catching an attitude with me too and cut me at least 3 times, im no stranger to gel x so i know the difference between good and bad application and she left air bubbles, way too much gelx under the nails, & didnt refine the cuticle part. i was really disappointed bc i had such high expectations & even down to the gel application it was extremely streaky & lumpy and looked nothing like the french tip i showed her. i told her all throughout the process i wasnt happy with how it was looking and she just kept gaslighting me. i wanted her to cover where my fingertip ended and she understood english well but still didnt listen to me. this all made me really upset esp looking at how ugly my nails turned out & i asked them to take it off, even the lady who was doing my pedi needed another lady to step in. shes blonde and was also working reception she was really sweet & didnt charge me for the gel x & originally offered to just give me a whole new set but my fingers hurt too much from being cut & having acetone on them to remove the previous set. i was so embarrassed bc i started crying from the pain & the ladyās attitude doing my gel x, but the rest of the girls in the salon were really sweet and gave me extra snacks and stuff. it was seriously the ugliest set of gel x i ever got in my life and she shouldnt be allowed to do it if she does it like that. only reason im not giving one star is because the 3 younger girls & im assuming the manager were so apologetic and sweet and i was given a free voucher to get my gel x done. if you come here and want gel x i would only trust the younger girls in the salon to handle it the name she gave me for my gel x set is cindy. im probably not gonna be back for a while bc my nails need to heal but iāll change my rating if that new set changes my mind abt this salon. my pedicure was okay, she left my clay mask on too long and it was starting to sting and i had to tell her twice to pls remove it & she couldnt do a french tip. she was sweet overall though. the manager (im assuming) fixed my pedi. this was definitely not a relaxing salon visit even though i was paying for premium services. when i visit again i hope that changes, and for now i do not recommend that you let one of the older ladies do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi so Iām writing this review a week after my visit. Last Saturday 12/7/24 I stopped in to get my nails done for a wedding that night. A girl named Arria did my gelX set and she was great and so are my nails. During my set, the in house lash tech (David) came around handing out his card. I wasnāt going to make it to my normal lash place before the wedding so i decided to try David. He took me into the room to get set up and i told and showed him what i wanted (natural, whispy, cat eye) I also told him that i wear glasses and work in a kitchen so i couldnāt have them too long. He said okay and got started. My first red flag was that he didnāt wear gloves or tape my lids so the service was kind of uncomfortable . After i opened my eyes they were so irritated it took me a full three-five minutes before i could even see myself in the mirror. When i did, i immediately saw itās not what wanted. They were way too long/big, and way too full. I was uncomfortable telling him how i felt but i did and he told me, and i quote, āItās because youāre standing too close to the mirrorā ⦠We went back and forth for a minute and i agreed to pay him something for his time but i was still really unhappy. He said that he could only take it down to $120 (original price was $150) I was uncomfortable, running late and trying not to cry so i just paid and left. I was going to just take the L but literally as soon as i walked outside some of the lashes started to fall off into my eyes. I went back in and David was talking to the lady at the front desk(idk if she was the owner/boss) and I spoke to both of them when i recounted what just happened. He kept offering to have me come back so he could fix them and that was a no. I even asked if they had a solution i could take home to take them off myself and they said no. The lady at the front desk offered me 50% refunded and that made it a bit better. But sadly itās Thursday night right now and i have a pile of lashes that have fallen out. All that to say i definitely wonāt...

Most nail techs arenāt good with manicures or gel x. Iāve had nail polish peel the next day, nails come off the next day, and this last set was so elementary my nail tech said āoh youāre going on vacation? I hope the nails donāt come offā. Theyāve drilled my nail beds so thin over time that I had a painful hole, and needed a break from nails. They donāt push back cuticles or treat natural nails before gel x.
Yesterday, my sister went for a full set despite my warnings and came back with crooked nail extensions that were smaller than her nail bed. AFTER fixing the excess glue that oozed out beneath the nails. and onto her fingers. The compensation? $5 off⦠mind you these experiences occurred with 5 different nail techs.
Why did I keep going back? The first time was great! The ambiance is cool and theyāre convenient. I usually go last minute when I have something coming up and need my nails done. But they charge too much to mess up everytime. I wonāt...
