Mobile Illumination — Local services in Los Angeles

So come to find out Mobile Illumination is the parent company for ProConnect Electrical. I recently purchased a Tesla and I needed a level two charger installed in my garage. I looked for the recommended electricians on Tesla's website, I saw Mobile Illumination out of Northridge. I went to their location and met the owner, Jason, what a good dude. I asked if they did EV charger installs he said yes. I inquired about, what "Mobile Illumination" was about, he proceeded to give me a tour of their warehouse, apparently they are not only only electricians, but they specialize in holiday lights, event lights, decorative lighting, etc. Apparently they do the light display for the LA Zoo. How cool. After the quick tour, I was guided to his sister Jennifer, who is either a project manager or director, she set me up with a scheduler and scheduled me for an install appointment. Rodney, came over to scope the project out, we had a plan and he set me up for install dates. In the meantime, estimate was sent and scope of work was sent as well. Paid everything online very efficient and organized. Dennis and Salvador came in to do the install work. All the install was clean and safe, trust me I'm OCD with that stuff. I thought they were just going to run flex conduit, but to my surprise they ran the higher quality conduit. Work was done within a few hours. EV charger works great!!! Worst experience we have ever had with any contractor both in terms of performance and customer service! We paid in full for all new landscape lighting and then discovered several problems with the lighting that Mobile Illumination had installed, both major and minor. In addition, our credit card was charged in full without our authorization before the job was completed. Despite the fact that we reached out to Mobile Illumination multiple times via phone and email to fix the problems, MI refused to take responsibility for any of the issues brought to their attention including inoperative lights, loose wires, and outlets not finished to code. In order to make all the new lights operative and complete the job to code, we had to call in a different electrical contractor at our additional expense to correct MI's shoddy work. Clearly a miserable experience that MI has repeated with quite a few customers if you read all the Yelp reviews. Would never recommend...

I have been using Mobile Illumination since 2003 and love their work. Every Christmas they install the most elegant, stunning and creative lighting designs. They are a pleasure to work with and their entire team is very professional. Every season my home is always the best looking house in our neighborhood and I get a tremendous amount of compliments on my Christmas lights. I tried to go with a cheaper company one year who claimed to have been in business for 10 years but I found out they lied and their service and lighting were terrible.
