What a joke. I just got turned away from shawn’s pumpkin patch because of my service dog. They said he couldn’t come in unless he wore a muzzle. He’s a large breed, and he is truly the sweetest, calmest boy, fully trained, amazing with kids, and a registered service animal. Service dogs are legally protected under the ADA. You can’t deny access or force a service dog to wear a muzzle unless they’re being aggressive, which he wasn’t at all.
The woman at the entrance was extremely rude and even laughed at me. She didn’t even ask for his service number or give my dog a chance. She just immediately said I had no option but to muzzle him. My dog and I have been welcomed everywhere else without a single issue. He’s always perfectly behaved, and instead we were discriminated against just because he’s big.

A MAJOR PLUS is that the activities and slides are for various age ranges. My autistic young adult was able to go on the large (adult sized) Shark slide three times for just $3. & they told me I could go with her to help if she needed it). They were so kind to us. It’s very hard when you find out other local patches are just for toddlers after you’ve already paid just to park... Shawn’s pumpkin patch is less money overall then other patches and more accommodating to everyone & those are my priorities. Yes, it’s in the Culver City area so it’s not huge like in the country, but it’s big enough for the area. So we’ll make no bones about it, we will be back...
Read moreWe took our daughter and our dog pumpkin hunting on Friday. 🍂 We visited the petting zoo, rode the train (the dog too!), ate funnel cake, went through a mini straw maze, and let our little girl explore in the baby play yard. 🏰
Her favorite activities were riding in the wagon, picking out her little pumpkins, petting the bunnies, and playing with the hay. 🥹
It was our dog’s first time visiting a pumpkin patch. 🍁 He had a great time, ate some popcorn, made friends with the goats and llamas, and was a very good boy. 🐶 Thanks to Shawn's Pumpkin Patch for allowing dogs to join in the family fun. 🥰
They also had carnival games, pony rides, giant slides, bounce houses, face painting, and trampolines for older kids to enjoy. 🎡 And so many different colors, shapes, sizes, and types of pumpkins (including pink!). 🎃 Happy...
