My hair was getting pretty long, and I wanted to try a new barbershop to get me looking right. I had been hearing good things about SIR, and wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

I enter SIR into my GPS and see it will take me about 15 minutes to get there. Not too bad. Once I get closer to the shop, I see that there is only side street parking available. I'm able to park relatively close so finding a spot wasn't an issue.

Now once I enter the shop, I'm greeted with smiles and a friendly welcome. Prior to this, I had called to see if anyone could take me in for a walk-in and they said to stop on by.

I sit in the waiting area which has a TV, little arcade game stand, nice seat bench and chairs, and a table and some plants. Place feels very nice to wait, and I end up only waiting 15 minutes.

My barber greets me and offers me a drink, to which I politely decline - but appreciate the gesture. I tell him I just want to trim and go a bit short and show him a picture of a wavy two block hair style; think kpop boyband and squidgames haircut.

He says sure no problem and throughout the duration of the haircut I can tell the barber has experience. He is using primarily scissors and the occasional clippers. My haircut feels very personalized, and done with regards to my head shape and facial structure. After he finishes up the cut and shows me the results, I did want it to be about half an inch shorter all around and my barber gladfully fulfills my request. My haircut is finished and I'm delighted to how it came out, he finishes me up with a hot towel which relaxes and eases me up for the rest of the day.

While the price you pay is premium - and I do wish it was a little more affordable you have to realize where you are and what you're getting. A top notch, professional premium experience.

SIR is a treasure - I'd leave 10 stars if I could. The shop is in a great location in the West Hollywood area (with plenty of street parking and easy neighborhood parking), and absolutely meets the style and quality you'd expect in this part of town. The shop ambiance is super clean, bright and light, and always has good jams on. Plus, the guys are always so cool and inviting, and when I come in or leave, there are stylists (aside from my own) who greet me and send me off - you feel like part of the family. Plus, the prices are right on point and you TOTALLY get what you pay for.

I go to Kyle every 1-2 weeks and it's the highlight of my week. Kyle is an absolute artist. I take a lot of pride in my personal style and, honestly, am pretty picky. Kyle is so passionate, consultative, and determined to make me feel like a champ. I've never had a barber that delivers a perfect cut, is so passionate and interested in what I want, AND is one of the nicest people I know.

A little over 2 years ago I visited SIR after being recommended by one of my close friends who mentioned anytime I'm visiting LA from NorCAL that I should check them out! I made an appointment with Tim and also made an appointment for my brother in law with Brady for his birthday. We both scheduled for a cut/beard trim. The professionalism, service, ambiance were 5 star and we were both so happy and impressed with the level of service, our cut and just the attention to detail from the shop to the barbers. My brother in law in who lives in LA said "Ameen this is going to be my new regular shop" I told him when I'm visiting in LA this will be mine too! I'm so glad I was referred to SIR!
