As a huge soccer fan, I was thrilled to discover that N10 Restaurant in Los Angeles is owned by none other than Alessandro Del Piero, the FIFA World Cup winner and Italian soccer legend! While the restaurant was surprisingly empty when I arrived, the food and service were absolutely exceptional, making for a memorable dining experience.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm Italian hospitality by the server, who showed me to my table and presented me with a menu. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, taking the time to explain the different dishes and make recommendations with italian accent :)
The food at N10 was truly outstanding, with a focus on traditional Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The portion of the dishes was generous, and the presentation was beautiful.
Throughout the meal, our server checked in regularly to ensure that everything was to our liking, refilling our glasses and clearing our plates with prompt efficiency. The service was top-notch, and we felt well taken care of throughout the evening , well we were the only ones at that time lol
As a soccer fan, I was also impressed by the subtle nods to Del Piero's soccer career throughout the restaurant, from the jerseys on the walls to the soccer-themed decor. It added a fun and unique touch to the dining experience.
If I have any criticisms, it's that the restaurant was surprisingly empty when we arrived, which made for a slightly awkward atmosphere. However, as the evening wore on, more diners arrived, and the restaurant began to feel more lively.
Overall, I would highly recommend N10 Restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine and a unique dining experience. While the atmosphere may have been a bit lacking due to the empty tables, the food and service were truly outstanding, and I would definitely return.
Highlights:
Exceptional Italian cuisine with a modern twist Attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic service Unique soccer-themed decor and nods to Alessandro Del Piero's career Generous portions and beautiful presentation

But in those instances where they were instantly communicative or fixed it and were attentive -- I don't take off many points. It can still be an overall good experience.
But when you set menu prices high....you inherently expect (emphasis mine) an amazing dining experience. It's a shame really because the chef can make amazing dishes... full of great ingredients and curate an epic menu, but that can be washed away, unfortunately in just an instance by bad, slow or no service.
So back to N10. I have seen other reviews which were amazing. Glowing. Positive experience. That intrigued us. But the fact that they had plenty of tables for a Saturday night on opentable, was really quite curious.
The food was better than good. The salmon was brilliant and perfectly cooked. The mushrooms were delicious....and the Tagliatelle was really epic.
But had it not been for us waving down a manager (who was apologetic and nice enough, but hardly could be pulled away from the "influencers" at other tables)...I wager we would have sat for (another) 20 mins without a drink, water or anything. And for sure, it's a first world problem, but again, this is supposed to be a nice place - price for 2 for dinner and couple drinks was about $200 with tip.
Hardly the experience you feel you deserve at that price. What of all the tables were booked and full? What kind of experience then?
A little side note for the bar...after we finally got them...the first round of old fashioneds were great, with a giant ice cube......but the second round was watered down and with what seemed like crushed ice. So that wasn't great.
But, hats off to the chef, who did a fantastic job, it's a shame though that the rest of the experience wasn't as fantastic.
In my humble opinion the chef themselves saved it from a 1 or 2 star rating, instead...

The atmosphere hits the sweet spot between upscale and welcoming, combining sleek, contemporary design with an indoor-outdoor flow that feels both elegant and relaxed. The lighting, the table settings, even the soundtrack—all feel intentionally curated.
As for the food: it’s bravura Italian, with a strong respect for tradition but a confident streak of creativity. Every dish we tried was beautifully balanced, thoughtfully presented, and deeply flavorful. Some highlights:
The Charred Octopus with fava beans—each bite had texture, bright acidity, and perfect char. The homemade pastas—whether it was the Tagliatelle al Ragu all’Antica or something more adventurous, they delivered comfort and complexity. The pizzas were excellent: crisp crust, great mozzarella, and inventive toppings that elevated what could be ordinary. For dessert, the tiramisu (or whatever dolce of the evening) closed out the meal just right—sweet, rich without being heavy, and clearly made with genuine care.
The service mirrored the quality of the food: smart, attentive, and personable. Salt-of-the-earth in the best way—they know their menu, make good suggestions, and don’t make you feel rushed, even if the restaurant is busy.
Drinks are another strong suit—wine list is solid, cocktails are creative, and the full bar offers nice choices pre- or post-dinner. The ambiance lent itself to both date night and small group gatherings; the outdoor patio especially is a gem, whether under sun or lights.
All told, N.10 more than lives up to its promise. Whether you're craving classic Italian done with finesse, want to indulge in something fresh and seasonal, or simply want an elevated dining outing, this place delivers. Highly...
