I've had lash extensions for over 10 years, and anyone who's had them knows it's not easy finding a lash artist you can trust and who really gets the look you're after.
Previously, I was sticking with the popular C curl. But after a decade, I wanted a change. I especially wanted L or M curls which, for some odd reason, seemed hard to find in LA.
Having Asian/almond-shaped eyes, I'd usually get a cat-eye design with the C curls. This style tended to weigh down the outer corners of my eyes, making them appear droopier than I liked. Plus, they would often irritate my lower lids.
On my search for a new look, I went to the LA Lash House twice – first in Santa Monica and then in West Hollywood. While the Santa Monica visit was okay, it wasn't exactly what I wanted. But in West Hollywood, I met Irina.
Despite a slight language barrier, Irina really made the effort to understand my vision. She carefully prepped my lashes (a step many lash artists skip), was gentle during the application, and most importantly, achieved the look I wanted. She combined M curls on the outer corners with C curls on the inner part.
Big thanks to Irina for nailing the look I've wanted for so long. I feel and look refreshed and I'm genuinely excited to share her work with my friends. Irina,...
Read moreVery poor communication! Unaccountable for their lash mistakes! Unwilling to fully fix their inconsistent work. They refused my request for a third visit to fix their work on my lashes, wanting me to pay more, even though I contacted them soon after my visits. My first set with Olga had lashes falling into my eyes that were glued together, my second Fix was rushed and Valeria changed the look of my eye while making the lashes uneven with gaps. You can see the straight natural lashes on one side that she should have kept the extensions on. My family noticed as soon as I got home. There are far better lash boutiques in LA who actually care about your experience, don't risk your lashes or money. My photos speak for themselves. I came in for a Fix and left with patches missing. And to be quite honest I believe their call on not offering to fix their mistake had to do with discrimination, they left my IG messages on seen and then dove into watching my IG stories... then to reply that they didn't want to make it right. Very unfortunate, but unprofessionality works itself out. Ladies, don't expect accountability here and give your business to a lash...
Read moreI was stabbed repeatedly during the lash extension process. By the eyelash extensions and her tweezers. At one point they used the sharp end of the tweezers to peel the glue off my eyeliner and tear ducts.
Glue did get stuck on my bottom lashes as well and she just pulled my eyelids apart instead of swiping the glue off at the end. She only spoke Russian, I felt bad that I had such a painful time. But she said it was impossible for the eyelashes to stab me because they were one Millimeter away from my eyelid.
I was stabbed a lot, over 56 times. I don’t know how I had so much patience, I think she did her best. But I think she needs to go back to class for eyelash extension installation and fix her process. She definitely doing something wrong. I’ve had them done before at another place I was only stabbed three times. I don’t have sensitive eyes compared to others. It’s just very uncomfortable to have the tweezer go past my sealed lid into my eye ball while she separates the lashes.
I feel bad for leaving a negative review but I don’t think others should go through this much...
