Ventura Park and Ride to Hollywood Bowl — Local services in Los Angeles

I've parked at this lot for the last 15+ years due to its proximity to the Hollywood Bowl. The lot IS perfect in terms of location and shuttle to/from the Bowl. This year, they re-did the asphalt and drew parking lines, which wouldn't be a problem -- typically. The issue is that the parking is now a combo-type with regular parking and stacked parking if the concert sells out. One reason to not park at the Bowl is because of the stacked parking! While you may arrive early and pick in a spot, you'll be surprised when you get back bc you can't get out if you have an emergency or have to leave early (and Uber/Lyft to your car).. You're screwed. There's no way you can get out. However, if you're strategic, you can find a spot that gives you a clear exit -- maybe. On opening night, we spent over an hour waiting dor the drivers of the cars we were boxed up with. They missed the last shuttle, so we were fu*cked and had to wait for them to get to their car so we could get out. At that point, there's no parking lot staff to serve the place so you're stuck waiting. It's a horrible way to do business.

It's still a good place to park IF they don't stack parking but you can't find out until it's too late. Will definitely be looking at alternatives...

We have been taking the shuttle for the last 10 years and we highly recommend it if you’re going to the bowl. It is so much easier and actually quicker than parking your car...
