A hidden gem of Studio City. Located directly across from NBC/Universal, this park is safe even after sundown! The hours are 5am-10pm daily, with no exceptions as both the police and traffic enforcement politely frequent the area.
Perfect for walks, pets, kites, drones (if legal), reading. When you get to Weddington Park, you’ll notice how the sound of everyday traffic vanishes in the background.
Its a lovely place for a picnic. Equipped with a couple of benches and tables for such an occasion.
Yes there are a few homeless that kinda hang around the park indefinitely BUT, as long as I’ve been coming here I can assure you its the same handful of displaced campers. I’ve never seen or heard of any drug usage. They are respectful and quiet and keep to themselves and seem to have their own routines!

The airflow and greenery is mesmerizing! Maintenance is done well at this park. I really appreciate the...

There were a handful or more tents along the street, but the street was very clean and no homeless were in the park when...
Read moreSouth Weddington Park is absolutely lovely. Tucked away under the shadow of Universal Studios, down a quiet side street, one almost forgets they are just a couple hundred feet away from the buzz of busy Ventura Blvd. There seems to always be a light breeze, cooling off the hotter days, and the gorgeous (oak?) trees lining the perimeter give plenty of shade at any time of day. Dogs & kids romp away their excess energy, but I’ve never felt crowded whenever I’ve visited. There’s always space. It’s a beautiful, peaceful park, tucked away at the base...
