Went there to pick up a projector for an outdoor home theater. These are pricy systems, so rather than buying on Amazon, I thought I would get answers to a few questions and buy from a person who knows the specs so I don’t buy the wrong one for my application. This is Saturday morning around 10:15; they just had opened and were not busy at all. The salesperson could not be any less interested or informed. Hands behind his back, he asked ten seconds in if I was going to buy today. Too much even for a car dealership. I said yes if I find what I need. Then the crazy part started. “Do you have the specs for this one?” “No.” (And no follow up, like let me call a colleague who knows something about what we sell, or can you return when that person comes in, assuming there is one.) “How about this one?” “There isn’t much to it!” “What’s the throw distance for this one?” “It’s normal.” That’s all I could take. What’s the point of a brick and mortar store if you can’t be bothered to learn what you are selling....

Honestly, they don’t know how to hire sales people here. I walk in and I found the speaker that I wanted and the guy approached me and I said what’s the difference between this and that one and he had no idea. He literally had no knowledge of any of the speaker products on the showroom floor. Then I said OK I will take this Sony product. The price in front of the speaker says $148. There were three price tags and there were three speakers so obviously the biggest speaker was the highest price tag. He had no idea if that was the correct price or not. He told me he is going to check Amazon. I told the salesman I am here in your store and you’re checking Amazon for the price. The other man in the store who was either the manager or the sales person just stared the whole time and didn’t bother to approach. We walked out and he lost a sale. I can safely say that if you don’t know about technology or systems, coming here to video and audio center, won’t be a problem, because of the great staff that they have. Adrian was so helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell he cares and loves his job. Explained things to me in simple form especially since I don’t know much, but he made the experience of shopping so much better.
