One star. What a waste of my time. I lost time and it cost me money by coming here. I brought a Stihl string trimmer attachment in to have it repaired. While they said they don’t typically do repairs they do have a protocol they’re supposed to follow as Stihl dealers to see if they can troubleshoot any issues. So many weeks ago they took in my trimmer attachment. Weeks went by. No call. No update. I call and ask about the status of the attachment but they were too busy and said they would call me back. They didn’t. Then I called back after several more days. They said we have your attachment and it’s up front with some parts. Come in and get it. When I got there they didn’t have anything. They hadn’t fixed, diagnosed, problem solved or anything. When I left with it, it was missing a piece that it came in with. They insisted it must be at home. Then they did me the biggest favor by recommending I take it to Jax. I did. Meanwhile I checked at home and the missing piece was not at home. So it has less parts than it was checked in with. Thankfully Jax knew what to do. The store manager followed up with me as he said he would. When I called this Ace and said I was missing a part and that i did not find it at home they said, “bring it in and we will get you taken care of.” I thought, finally, someone stepping up and doing the right thing. When I arrived, I got the run around, per usual, then finally the guy who I spoke with on the phone who told me to come in who said he would take care of it, said, “uh yeah, we don’t even carry that part and can’t do anything for you.” I didn’t need to waste time, gas, time off my life, for this nothing burger. I will never come back to this Ace. They’re independently owner and operated and this one has lousy customer service and lacks follow up, follow through and empathy. There are other Aces I will shop at. There are other hardware store I will patronize. Someone else deserves my buck....
Read moreSo great to have an Ace hardware in town and really feels like that local hardware store (Aka steinbaughs from years past). Gayle greeted me at the door and told her I needed propane for the Van. She had Seth and Mark meet me at the tank where they worked through a tricky situation to get me all filled up. Then met inside and helped getting a screw to match up for my door. Then I went in to get some other things and sure enough they helped me get all the things that I needed. They didn’t have one part and Bud the plumber was asked to assist and he walked me through everything I needed to know and even offered to have me email him photos when I got home of my plumbing issue, which I did and he responded. Lastly, Linda (Mark’s wife) at the end helped check me out and got everything that I wanted with a smile and a complement. I’m so excited to go back and support this business and you will be as well. Lastly, I did read some of the one-star reviews and asked them about them. As expected the anti-mask guy was obstinate and hurling expletives and they asked him to leave due to no mask and never accused him of shoplifting, just refused to have him as a customer (good job!). And the others are leaving experience for the staff, but we are so quick to send out nasty reviews vs chatting with the owners. Can we go back to that? Like neighbors. Thanks for reading and I guess I did wax...
Read moreI finally bought a grill and went over the top with. a Weber Genesis with side burner and 2 propane tanks . The day they were to deliver it I received a phone call saying I owed for the gas in the tanks. I said no Matt (I think his name is) told me with my expensive purchase the propane gas for the tanks was free. The man on the phone grudgingly let it go. The guys showed up an hour late. I let them go thru the house as it was a shorter distance for them. They started attaching the tank. One stood the whole time watching , did nothing. The other one worked at it and tried to convince me the burners were on tho I could see no flame. To them I was the stupid woman who didn’t know better. Finally they said they had to leave, none too soon. I called the store and Matt said he would come out. He checked it and the valve wasn’t even turned all the way on. We immediately got a flame and it was obvious. Thank God for him. Yesterday after a big storm the side burner quit working although the rest of the grill is fine. I called the store and was told by a gentleman named Brad I think that I should call Weber, ( When I purchased it I was told “We tell this to everyone, if you ever need any help with your grill just call. Instead he said I don’t know what to tell...
