Happy customer for life 🙂 I just had the sweetest interaction with the owner, Kelley. I am 15 weeks pregnant and for the past 8 weeks I’ve been craving a chocolate long-john from Daylight donuts (specifically 😌). I had held out 8 weeks when I finally decided it was time to indulge. My husband went twice and unfortunately we weren’t early enough to get a long-john before they were all gone. During a recent conversation with my dad, a California resident, I told him about my cravings and how recently when I’m craving something I go there and they don’t have it (it’s happened with a few other cravings). I don’t know what all went on behind the scenes, but all I know is the next day, less than 24 hours later, the sweetest man shows up at my door holding a bag with TWO boxes of donuts! My dad had called him and told him about my sadness when I couldn’t get my long-john and how he wanted to have them delivered but couldn’t find a delivery service so the owner himself brought me an entire box of chocolate long-johns along with another box full of goodies; apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, cake donuts, etc… along with a gift card for my next purchase. I can’t believe the thoughtfulness and kindness of the owner, Kelley, and the fact that he went out of his way, (after hours!) to make my day! I've visited Daylight Donuts multiple times, hoping for a fresh and enjoyable donut experience. Unfortunately, I have consistently been met with disappointment. Despite the appealing variety and potential for a great donut experience, the freshness of the donuts I've received has been consistently lacking, to the point where I question the safety and health standards being upheld.

It's difficult to determine if the issue lies in the storage conditions post-baking or if the donuts are indeed being sold days after they were made. Either scenario is concerning and significantly detracts from the quality and enjoyment of what should be a delightful treat. This recurring problem hints at a larger issue within the store's operations that desperately needs addressing.

For the health and satisfaction of your customers, I strongly recommend reevaluating your baking and storage practices. Freshness in a bakery is not just an expectation; it's a fundamental requirement. I hope to see significant improvements in the future. I have been buying donuts from Kelly's shop for over ten years. He takes pride in his business and his product. He hires great staff. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about his store. The donuts themselves are the best in NW Arkansas hands down and I have yet to find a donut shop as good on any of my business travels throughout the country. My family move 25 miles away from Lowell two years ago and I still pass four different donut store chains on my way back to buy from him.
