Burrito King — Restaurant in Lubbock

I had liked the original Polibertos before I tried Burrito King. Now I prefer Burrito King. I come to Lubbock once a year for a family reunion so I have been trying different places on my visits. As someone who grew up eating homemade flour tortillas, the very first bite registered to me as homemade. There is just a unique quality about them. The tortilla is over half of what scores a Burrito as great. We ordered chips and salsa and that salsa went well with the burritos. The salsa was flavorful but not hot. We recommend the Migas Rancheras and bean and egg burritos. Those beans were legit and the combination of them and the tortilla was great. The migas burrito had very good flavors going on. i would like to give EVERY restaurant the benefit without doubt, HOWEVER when you order two burritos on a Tuesday at 8:17 am and by 9:40 am you have not received them then there goes my doubt. I spoke with the young lady who lied and told me that the delivery time would be 30 minutes. When i informed her that she didn't express that she went to explaining that they were short handed. I could clearly understand and empathize with her situation. UNFORTUNATELY I am still hungry the delivery driver still has not made it here with my brunch now. I was not going to mention the cost of this transaction because it would be tacky and unprofessional, but I defiantly will not order or encourage anyone else to do so. A friend recommended this place from work. We talked about what foods are actually good in lubbock because people in lubbock think they can cook. We agreed on a handful of places and at this point, i trust his taste in food. he mentions Burrito King. Ive never been to it or tried it. My first time was 9/10/2025 and i loved it! I had the huevos rancheros AND beef carne guisada plate. The tortillas are also homemade and very tasty. I will tell my family and friends about it. Thank you for being one of the few places that are actually good in Lubbock.
