Henhouse Shoppe — Local services in Luray

I have to say HH Shoppe has become my favorite and new go to boutique in just the matter of the last few months! I've watched them on their live sales and followed them since they first opened, but never took the time to shop with them. For the longest time I'll admit I was hesitant to shoppe because I was so cautious of my weight especially being a mother of 2 and didnt feel like I could pull any of their outfits off! This year at Easter I literally struggled on trying to find the perfect outfit for Easter Sunday, and I took the chance and finally gave these girls a shot!! I am so thankful I did! They truly help me find the perfect dress to go along with my daughters' dresses, and what I soon found out was that they were going to become my new favorite boutique to shop at!! Since April not only have I become a new Hen myself, but I also started a weight loss journey and have found myself rocking out styles and sizes I never thought I would ever see myself in again!! These girls have truly been amazing and have helped me with important dates like vacation time when I bought 4 outfits for our family vacation this year! Since then these girls have gotten my business just about every week even sometimes twice a week!! :) As I continue to reach for my weight goal, I am also finding my closet becoming a HH wardrobe!! I love their clothes, shoes, accessories, customer service and overall their friendliness to each and everyone of us!! These girls are amazing and they not only make you feel so welcome when you walk into their stores, but they also make you feel like family!! I don’t like writing these kinds of reviews because the clothes truly are beautiful and unique. But that was the most humiliating experience of my life and I hope that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I am aware that I am plus size. But as soon as I walked through the front door the lady at the front says, “we have sizes small-3x. You can find the “curvy” sizes by the pink tag. It just made me feel humiliated. I start browsing and I pull out a 1x dress. She goes on to say that those are very flattering. She comes over to help me and says that the 1x might be a little form fitting. Even though I usually wear an XL. So I get to the front and go to pay and she says, “if you get home and this doesn’t fit, you can return it.” Maybe she was trying to be helpful but I know what size I am I felt like she drew A LOT of attention to the fact that I was bigger and it was so humiliating.
