Usually a wonderful and very welcoming park in the heart of downtown Luray. Unfortunately, me and my 12 pound puppy had a very upsetting experience today, but it reflects on a person, not the park. -,My little dog is small and I have trained him to be loving and friendly to others. He loves everyone, and has always been met with love in return. In fact, he’s gotten a little conceited! Today however, there was a woman at the park who for no reason was so frighteningly rude and insulting to us that her mental stability must be questioned, because she became violent towards my pup, and kicked him in the leg. I’m still reeling. Not the usual nice day there, though through no fault of the park or the county. So just use caution if you witness a well dressed, stocky, blond/gray haired woman in her 50’s, who today had a puppy of her own with her, who carries and displays herself as an angry, defensive, superior NFL linebacker wearing a furious face. She is not there to enjoy the view on a beautiful autumn day, but rather to assail her perceived enemies - innocent persons and pets she has never before met, who are. We’ll be back as our usual friendly selves, enjoying the view and our gift of life as apparently she will not, but will proceed with caution of this dangerous and obviously damaged and deranged woman, and suggest readers do as well. Please. Thank you and have a wonderful day at this wonderful park, and check out the “Kindness Garden” while you’re there! That’s what we...
Read moreWe were there for the Fourth of July and the whole festival was very well put together. The food trucks very efficient with the lines they had. The music was outstanding. It had been so long since we had seen live music and it was refreshing to see everyone having a good time. We are from a tourist town and I wanna let you know that the fireworks display was spectacular!! It out beat any show I've ever seen, for a place that triples in population just for the fireworks, that we are from. Can't wait...

Plenty to look at while you're walking down the trail such as cows, bridges, and local art. Kids go swimming in the river in the summer and people walk their dogs, along with bicycle and...
