After a hard day of Hiking in the cold February weather. We decided to try this deli that seemed very popular. The first thing that threw us off once they were no prices on the food listed on the board. When we asked the cashier said the sandwiches vary between $15 and $17. I’m thinking wow that is really expensive for a sandwich. People all around us are devouring their sandwiches in silence and with gusto. I’m thinking it must be worth it. Btw there is very limited seating indoors. No tables maybe counter space for 8 r tops. So essentially you are paying what I consider astronomical Prices for sandwiches. I ordered a Portabella Sandwich and my wife ordered a club sandwich. I have no idea how much the portobello or the club were since there were no prices listed. We also bought a large bag of chips. After taxes and tip with no drinks and sitting In the cold the total for our lunch was $40. The sandwich came with no sides and was relatively small. I was just as hungry when I left as I was when I got there. I am baffled that this place is able to sell small Sandwiches and a tract, so many different people. I am still confused as to why anybody would go back to a place that overcharges for sandwiches has nowhere to sit sit and gives you a such a small amount of food. I am also baffled that Tree advisory labels this place with one $ that...

Came to Luray Caverns for the night for my bday!! After being in awe over the caverns, we decided to find a place for a couple drinks and a Sammy… Found this lil gem based off their ratings!!

We got the Cuban and the Rueben and OMG!! The bread was so incredibly fresh I was having to pick out my teeth! lol. You know the feeling. When you have that freshy fresh bread!! The meat was incredibly fresh and the pork on the Cuban was beyond!!

There was a band playing and they were AMAAAAAZING!! The big ole bag of Dixie!! Yall!! They turned every Prince, Edie brickell, 38 special, sublime, or Tom petty into the very best version of whatever genre they dig into!!! Serious vibes!!! Also. People just kept showing up and adding to the band…it kept growing through the night. It was hard to determine if they were all together or if it was just THAT inclusive. Truly amazing!! Loved times a bazillion!

Later learned from the sax guy, he had never played w them before. Which literally made my night!! Coolest ever!!

I think I fell in love w this venue!!

Oh. The beer….The kolshe, summer ale and strawberry hibiscus beers were also AMAZING!! The summer ale was on special for $3!!! Like frfr....

Great little sandwich store, though very busy (unsurprisingly) at the time of visit--Memorial Day weekend, '23. This also resulted in long wait times and less seating because of just how busy it was.

Still, the food was good when it did come out suggesting that even with the extra pressure their food would be consistently good.

For Celiac sufferers, despite it not being on the menu they do have gluten free bread, in the form of something very similar to Udi buns. I warned them it was an allergy rather than a preference and they didn't seem phased. I did worry when it came out toasted, but thus far no reaction (historically I trend to the very sensitive end of the spectrum). They also had plenty of cider options if you wanted to partake in an adult beverage or two. (I only saw it from a distance, but it seemed to be primarily Bold Rock.)

If I had one quibble it was that I ordered a BLT and got a TLB. In the UK this would have raised more than a few eyebrows as the ingredients' quantity should come proportionate to their position in the abbreviation: oodles of bacon, some lettuce, and maybe a couple of razor-thin slices of tomato for a bit...

Delicious mushroom panini! The panini was bursting with flavor from the roasted mushrooms, sauteed onions, feta cheese, pesto, and lettuce on a soft focaccia bread. The ingredient list is short and simple, and hands-down one of the best subs! While the sandwiches are small and don't come with any sides, it's much tastier than the subs at the bustling Gathering Grounds up the road. Call-ahead with curbside pick-up - you can't enter the deli. After I knocked, a staff member came outside and took my order and kindly brought it out to my car. There are some nice picnic tables with plenty of outdoor seating on the gravel lot right next to the deli. Will definitely stop by a sub when I'm in Luray!

5/5 for everything! Great service with covid-19 precautions and the food was amazingly priced for how good it is! Our party got the chicken & barley soup, Cuban pork sandwich, portabella sandwich, and I got the asiago chicken sandwich. Everyone loved their meals! My personal favorite was the portabella though, I never thought mushrooms could taste better than meat on a sandwich! Highly recommend. When looking for places to eat after visiting the Luray Cavern I didn't want anything too simple like the hotdog and burger place or anything too fancy like the Italian place. While they look great this place was just perfect!
