After a hard day of Hiking in the cold February weather. We decided to try this deli that seemed very popular. The first thing that threw us off once they were no prices on the food listed on the board. When we asked the cashier said the sandwiches vary between $15 and $17. I’m thinking wow that is really expensive for a sandwich. People all around us are devouring their sandwiches in silence and with gusto. I’m thinking it must be worth it. Btw there is very limited seating indoors. No tables maybe counter space for 8 r tops. So essentially you are paying what I consider astronomical Prices for sandwiches. I ordered a Portabella Sandwich and my wife ordered a club sandwich. I have no idea how much the portobello or the club were since there were no prices listed. We also bought a large bag of chips. After taxes and tip with no drinks and sitting In the cold the total for our lunch was $40. The sandwich came with no sides and was relatively small. I was just as hungry when I left as I was when I got there. I am baffled that this place is able to sell small Sandwiches and a tract, so many different people. I am still confused as to why anybody would go back to a place that overcharges for sandwiches has nowhere to sit sit and gives you a such a small amount of food. I am also baffled that Tree advisory labels this place with one $ that...
Read moreCame to Luray Caverns for the night for my bday!! After being in awe over the caverns, we decided to find a place for a couple drinks and a Sammy… Found this lil gem based off their ratings!!
We got the Cuban and the Rueben and OMG!! The bread was so incredibly fresh I was having to pick out my teeth! lol. You know the feeling. When you have that freshy fresh bread!! The meat was incredibly fresh and the pork on the Cuban was beyond!!
There was a band playing and they were AMAAAAAZING!! The big ole bag of Dixie!! Yall!! They turned every Prince, Edie brickell, 38 special, sublime, or Tom petty into the very best version of whatever genre they dig into!!! Serious vibes!!! Also. People just kept showing up and adding to the band…it kept growing through the night. It was hard to determine if they were all together or if it was just THAT inclusive. Truly amazing!! Loved times a bazillion!
Later learned from the sax guy, he had never played w them before. Which literally made my night!! Coolest ever!!

Read moreGreat little sandwich store, though very busy (unsurprisingly) at the time of visit--Memorial Day weekend, '23. This also resulted in long wait times and less seating because of just how busy it was.
Still, the food was good when it did come out suggesting that even with the extra pressure their food would be consistently good.
For Celiac sufferers, despite it not being on the menu they do have gluten free bread, in the form of something very similar to Udi buns. I warned them it was an allergy rather than a preference and they didn't seem phased. I did worry when it came out toasted, but thus far no reaction (historically I trend to the very sensitive end of the spectrum). They also had plenty of cider options if you wanted to partake in an adult beverage or two. (I only saw it from a distance, but it seemed to be primarily Bold Rock.)
If I had one quibble it was that I ordered a BLT and got a TLB. In the UK this would have raised more than a few eyebrows as the ingredients' quantity should come proportionate to their position in the abbreviation: oodles of bacon, some lettuce, and maybe a couple of razor-thin slices of tomato for a bit...
