Donāt want to come across petty or unfair but this is my honest review. I booked an appointment over 24 hours in advance. Clearly from the prices and website this salon presented as upscale or āboujeeā and high quality. I expected as good as service as Nails & Co for the price... it does not even come close. If youāre looking to pay upscale price for barely a mall nail salon quality service this is your place. Iāve gotten better service and pedicure from a Walmart nail salon. Itās a very small and crowded location. It was hot. I called twice to make sure me and my friend could sit next to each other for our pedicures, both times I was told that would be just fine. We got there and had to wait another 20 minutes for space to clear for us to sit together even though we had booked an appointment. It was clear their staff had trouble communicating and even when serving my friend and I the front desk lady was trying to carry on 2 other conversations. The seemed surprised when I said we had booked TEO pedicures (again, called twice and had both our appts booked in advance and was very clear about it). The pedicure seats are not massage chairs and you cannot rest your head all the way back even (unless youāre maybe 5ft or shorter). You canāt adjust chairs, they are like benches you share with minimal padding. So if youāre not 130 pounds and 5ft 5in then you wonāt be comfortable, meaning small space. Very uncomfortable for pregnant women. We got the signature pedicure ($42) and the āmassageā was laughable. Colors to choose from are limited. If you arenāt there with a friend be warned you will be pretty close to the person you share a bench with during your pedicure. The customer on the other side of me was brought to her station and there was no towel on the foot rest for her feet so she didnāt think it was sanitary enough to put her feet on... it was cracked pastic and looked well worn. The whole thing seemed unprofessional and I agree not the most sanitary. In the middle of my pedicure the lady painting my toes left and a new person took over. Actual nail painting job was average, my friendās was barely mediocre. My friendās pedicure service lasted 28 minutes (itās a 45 minute service) and was done way before me and her foot massage was basically nonexistent and whole processes rushed. Trust me, go to Nails & Co for same price but you get a high quality service, private and relaxing atmosphere for pedicure, very skilled technicians. Could not believe how overpriced and presumptuous this place was and how under-serviced we left this place. Wild! Waste of your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very disappointed with my experience here. I scheduled a mani and pedi through the app weeks in advance. I specifically went for a relaxing afternoon since it was the only day I had childcare after a very stressful few months with an infant with significant medical needs. I will admit I arrived 8 minutes late. It took the receptionist a few minutes to check me in because she was watching something on her phone. Once seated the technician drained the tub and just started filing and painting my toes without explanation. When I asked why, she said she didnāt have time to do the full service bc we started late and she had someone right after me. Totally understand this, however, it would have been more professional to have a conversation upfront and come up with a plan together ( just do naked pedi, just do paint change, reschedule.) She then tells me she doesnāt have me in the system for a mani. I show her the confirmation email with both and she said the manager would come talk to me. The manager never came. When I went to leave I asked about my scheduled mani and she was not at all apologetic even though it was their systems error. She offered a different service later in the day and that was all. I understand it wasnāt her fault but again, terrible customer service. Not only that but just be a personable, considerate human and realize that people schedule these things in advance for a reason and expect to come in and get the service they requested. I was extremely disappointed that the manager didnāt offer anything to make up for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a longtime client at this MiniLuxe location, I am usually very happy with my experience. Yesterday was an exception. I had rescheduled a pedicure via text and had a text thread showing that I had been offered an appointment at 2:25 and had accepted it. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that I was not scheduled, even after showing the receptionist the text thread. She went to get a colleague and they were far more interested in discovering who forgot to book the appointment then offering me a solution. I was not offered a single word of apology or another option, such as a later appointment, an appointment on another day, or an appointment at another MiniLuxe salon. Finally, I pointed out that I had removed my toenail polish and cut my own nails and asked if they could do a polish change. They found an appointment for me later that afternoon.
The nail technician who did my polish did an adequate job. I asked if, since I had unpolished and cut my own toenails, she could take care of the cuticles on my big toes. She told me that that wasnāt included in the service. Before the service was finished, the receptionist came by to collect payment. She asked me in front of the technician if I would be tipping her. When I asked if I could speak with the manager, she told me there was no manager there.
The technicians at MiniLuxe do a wonderful job. The girls at the front desk need some training in...
