This is our Go To place to meet friends, family for dinner and special occations. As a matter of fact, we have been favoring this location for almost 10 years. We usually prefer and request certain seats and spots as they provide enhanced dining experiences for us, and the staff usually try to accommodate our requests easily. A few days ago we made a dinner reservation to meet our friends and politely requested for a booth seating so we can have coversations to catch up with while having dinner. When we got there we mentioned about our seating request but was told they weren't available when we could see two of them empty and the place was less than half full. We told this to the staff, and it was flatly denied and was told they were reserved (Are you reading this Jennifer Schwaid, the General Manager?) Because you were there and you didn't even make any eye contact while you were talking which was rude - you should know for a person in your position that is inappropriate and incincere. Well, we also called ahead and specifically asked for the booth seating too, so who are these people who gets to sit there? Long story short and not wanting to spoil our evening to pettiness about the seating, we sat where the host sat us. We tried to put this behind us, but coudln't help notice that those seats just sat unoccupied for over 30-40 minutes. The whole thing left us with a bad taste in my mouth because that some people were getting a preferential treatment over other loyal customers like us. But our table server, (I think her name is Skylar)saved the evening with her smiles and sincerity for all of us. And the food was as good as expected, as usual. But Jennifer S. really needs to work hard on her demeanor and charming skills! We probably not go back to this location until we see someone else working and managing the...
Read moreHave always enjoyed the quality of the food here but our last 3 visits have been quite disappointing. I often order the Cajun Yellowfin medium rare. In the past the tuna steak was perfectly blackened and pink/rare in the middle. Tonight it was just a small square of tuna with no seasoning. When I sent it back I expected they would redo the dish. Instead it came back out and it was clear they had sprinkled some seasoning on it and threw it back the grill. As a result, there was still very little seasoning and the filet was overcooked and dry. To add insult to injury the plate came back with the same (now cold and soggy) fries and cold broccoli au gratin with a now congealed white sauce. At this point I gave up since the other diners with me were holding off eating until I had my food. We didn't need the whole table to be eating cold food. This seems to be the norm in the past few months. Doneness requests are ignored and side dishes have been sitting in a warming tray all day. Szechuan green beans were dried out and stringy and the Mexican corn kernels has lost all moistness and were all "skin". This used to be my favorite seafood restaurant but my last 3 visits have been awful. Average dinner bill for two was $140 with one drink each, a signicant jump from just a few months ago. I am happy to pay those prices for a good meal. As big a jerk as he was, Roger Berkowitz would never have allowed such a degradation in quality as we have seen with this...
Read moreLet me say I've been coming to Legal for 15+ years and never had even a remotely bad lunch/dinner or service. This is only the 2nd time I've ate in the Lynnfield restaurant. We initially ordered 2 apps and 2 kids burger meals to get fired right away, then ordered the 3 adult meals about 15-20 min later. After an hour+, we received the 3 adult meals first. No apps or kids meals. The waiters seemed confused. Manager came by to apologize and seems they forgot the kids meals and The apps were sitting at the pass for 30+ minutes with no one running it to our table. So we get bombarded with everything at once. Then, a salmon meal was undercooked and cooked without the seasoning we selected (literally no salt, pepper, or seasoning). My wife had to send it back because she won't eat medium rare salmon. My cod was not cooked through and I had to stop eating it. Sides for the fish were cold and Kids didn't get their first course (rice was cold and crunchy and brocoli was cold to the touch). They offered free dessert but after about 2 hours in the restaurant and being grossed out from the raw cod, I just asked for the bill. Maybe this restaurant can't handle a Saturday night dinner service, I don't know. So they basically failed at every level- didn't get the orders in, didn't serve the orders, didn't cook them properly, didn't have fresh food, didn't season the fish, 2...
