We visited See's to pick up a box of chocolates. This visit is difficult for me to rate, but I'm giving it five stars bc I don't want to hurt the business and the chocolates are amazing as always.
We usually visit the Woodinville store but we were near the Lynnwood store this time. The Woodinville store has employees with world class hospitality skills. The Lynnwood store employee who assisted me needs a bit of help in that area, but I do understand that customer service roles are challenging and this could have been a one off.
When we visit See's we usually pick up a box of chocolates and whatever else looks good. The chocolate box sizes need to be displayed with the prices. I got a 1/2 pound box, but would have gone larger if I'd seen the box sizes (box sizes are on display in Woodinville).
We were not offered a sample, which has never happened for any of my other See's trips. It's ok, but makes me wonder if this is store-specific, or, stores no longer provide samples. Time will tell!
We picked up a couple of boxes of hard candy, a candy cigar, and two lollies. The box of chocolates (several raspberry truffles, with some raspberry cremes and peppermint patties) were selected at the counter. Woodinville workers noted that we should pull the peppermint patties out of the box if we planned to store the chocolate more than a few days, this wasn't mentioned.
I'd never seen the chocolate cigar before and hoped it was filled, but it was solid milk chocolate (would have been nice to have a description of the product).
Overall, not my best visit to a See's store, however, the products are still top of the line and I will visit a...
Read moreThis is a customer service review of a couple of staff. Two ladies were working extremely slowly and when I could see they needed help (i was waiting in line) I suggested they call the lady on the floor doing stocking to help and they declined that suggestion! (Ever been to the Pcc people?) they always call for help when backed up! In addition I was told I could wait! Soon a lady and perhaps daughter were behind me. Shortly after that many more came. Fortunately, the lady on the floor said she would come up. I was also told by contacting customer service someone would be in touch me and I never heard a peep from anyone. I did mention to staff that I would call corporate so I try to keep my word if I say Iâm going to do something I do it. I did give a good shout out for the lady on the floor who heard my request for help!!! A review of the candy itself, I will say the quality is superior than most chocolate you buy at the grocery perhaps with some exceptions of organic quality. I will go for the chocolate but I will remember those who didnât show courteous behavior toward a patron....
Read moreThe women in my fam have been going to this See's for as long as I can remember. Today, I wasn't as impressed. The carmels seemed to be half sized...but going by the lb, I can get over that. The gal who served us seemed a bit bothered by our desire to have our pieces separated by the three generations of fam members that we were buying for...as well as trying to hurry us through (but not in an expeditious way, more annoyed). My family have been consistent patrons In the last 46 years. It was also sad to see my elderly mom not treated with patience as she struggled a bit to remember her favorite selections. I'm hoping See's can get back to the inviting place I've always known! (Four stars because chocolates still great. California Brittle, Carmel Chews, Coconut Special and Cashew Brittle...
