Waterlemon — Local services in Lyons Township

My daughter had her 1st birthday party here Feb 26, 2022. We traveled from Florida (where we reside) to Illinois to celebrate with our family and friends. Found this location on social media and was very excited! A few hundred dollars were spent to rent the space (The Sweet Soiree Package). We had a great time and Aleah was just great! Lovely personality! Helped my mom and I set up and made us feel welcome. Our guests also enjoyed. Children had a lovely time! Downfall, parking is a nightmare to find. Store front parking was unavailable and we had to do a ton of walking back and forth to get all of my daughters decor, cakes, etc..etc.. into the building. This was exhausting (in heals and dressed for the occasion with wind and cold) and almost put this mama to tears as I didn't think I would have enough time to set up. Suggestion to management it would be great to have some sort of parking pass designated for just your customers upfront. With the money spent here, this would be fair and make things so much easier for people hosting events at this location. Otherwise, I'd suggest this location to others :) Great place for kids.

That would have been lovely if we only knew! Unfortunately, when discussing about unloading with the staff members over the phone, they only mentioned the store front parking (which was not available when we arrived) or the garage which I couldn't find. If I would have known about the alley this would have been a life saver! My mom went back and forth from the vehicle to Waterlemon several times on the day of the event to unload our items and this was not brought up even after the multiple ins and outs. Oh, well! Do not recommend. Planned our event from out of state for my sister’s baby shower (so all of our family in the Midwest would be able to attend). Host failed to mention the art fair was happening which made things significantly more complicated. Paid nearly $1000 simply to rent the space with no extra service provided, and we were ushered out 15 min prior to the end of our booked time. We had many gifts to load up and our ride was having trouble getting through the fair traffic, so it would have been nice if the host didn’t rush us out before the end of our paid time slot. It is my opinion that this place is way too overpriced for simply renting out a space. If more was included I would understand, but we did everything on our own. Set up, clean up, food/drinks. In addition, there is no parking. I understand this is a circumstance the owner has no control over, however, she refused to let us use the very accessible back door to the building that would have given us easy access to the alley to load up our car. Overall it was a very negative experience. We had our daughter's 2 year old birthday here and it was sincerely perfect. We had guests from 3 months old to 80+ and everyone had a wonderful time! The space itself is delightful and perfect for kids across a wide age range. The older kids loved guiding the younger ones around, and the little ones were able to use almost everything available. I felt like I was able to keep an eye on my kid and the other children while also talking to adult guests and ensuring they had a great time too. Not that I had to do much at all; everything was taken care of by Waterlemon so beautifully. We really appreciate the attention Nina gave to this party, and the staff (Jalene, sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!) was so helpful and attended to our every question and need.

It really means a lot to us that we can give our daughter memorable birthdays that capture the beauty of her through everything she loves. The decor, set up, catering, and extras were so special.
