Went today ,my first time there. They had some great BBQ bundles with several pounds of assorted meats. Meat was fresh.As they cut it I walked around,( knowing I would be posting a review). The vegetables were fresh and had a great assortment of spices! The only reasons that they didn't earn 5 stars are that there were BOXES everywhere, and behind the register it was cluttered. It's that it looked unorganized. It needs to look sharp,it's a business and I believe business would greatly improve if they would make it look more appealing. Read moreOne Saturday morning I wanted a good barbacoa breakfast and decided to give the Lytle store a try. I bought all meat barbacoa fresh out of the warmer along with a stack of corn tortillas and was surprised to find the meat was stringy, dry, chewy, and smelled and tasted exactly like roast beef! It was so much like roast beef I ended up having it for dinner with green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy and a glass of ice tea.
The lack of cars out front on a Saturday should have been a clue to keep going. Texans know the difference between barbacoa and roast beef and will not be fooled twice..

First He told me he didn’t have a meat tenderizer (a meat market with no tenderizer?) then I asked him to cut it butterfly cut into pieces to have ready to cook for Father’s Day and this is what I got, a 2 foot slab of meat! Not only do we not have the right utensils out here at our ranch but this is why we went to the meat market instead of heb but man I have gotten better meat market service at heb. Not good for a small business owner, especially in these times. Good luck to them hope they change their service...
