I visited the Nu-way location on Northside Dr on my lunch break. 01/06/25. The drive -thur attendant was very nice.I ordered a bowl and a cup of chili and other items. He told me the cups of chili were served cold. I replied let me have two bowls then. He explained they only had enough chili for one bowl. So I said okay that was fine give me my original request. When I returned to work. Both the bowl and cup of chili were horrible. The bowl of chili looked like they had tipped it over to gather up the scrapings from the pot, loads of oil had seeped all around the bag and over the other items ordered. The cold cup of chili had burned pieces of chili and was scorched. It's a shamed that my coworker and I couldn't enjoy our lunch. I had to wait for my other coworker to return back to work to return the chili's. When I went back to the store. They told me after an hour they couldn't do refunds....my receipt was@3:50 pm & I was standing waiting for help @the Nu-way in store in @ 4:57 ... they came to help at 5pm and said it had been 2 hours. It had not been 2 hours. They refused to do my refund. There was no store manager on duty just an assistant who was in the back on the grill. This is the first time I have ever heard of such a policy. We all have jobs and I work in sales & customer service. We have coworkers and policies to abide by. We cannot take an extended lunch for a none emergency issue. The assistant manager said it was not returned in reasonable time.... That's a lie. It was as reasonable as possible. Offering more burned chili doesn't solve my issue. If imy order was just the chili already warm an exchange for cold would've been suitable. Since the cold chili was trash too. I wasn't confident that replacing the order was a solution. It's a shame an establishment would have this policy knowing that most of their business relies on people spending hard earned money on their lunch breaks. I think it's a clever way for Nu-way to save money by making up policy's that are not displayed or made known to customers at the time they order at drive-thur. They know how unlikely it can be to come right back. I bet they save tons money by not throwing away burned food..... I didn't open the bag until I got back to work because I figured chili would be fine. I guess you can't trust businesses to serve fresh food anymore. At least the sweet teas were good but I will not go back to...
Read moreWould rate 0 starts on food and service if I could! I came in to order two separate orders for some coworkers and I. I ordered a ham & cheese (grilled, they specified lol) biscuit combo + bacon & egg sandwich on first order. Second order - bacon & egg biscuit. Paid for orders with no complications. Waited for orders. Received orders in timely manner, I guess. Walked back over to my work, looked at food. They gave me and ham & cheese sandwich along with the other sandwich, uncooked, limp fries and a bacon & cheese biscuit. My “grilled” ham and cheese sandwich looked like some cheap sandwich meat someone would keep in their fridge at home. When I discovered, I walked back over with my uncooked fries and sandwich that I did not order. The young lady who took my order was very surprised to see my uncooked food and informed me they are out of biscuits. I also told her that “grilled” ham looks like some shelf sandwich meat and asked if I could order something else. I was polite and let her know I work Nextdoor and have no problem waiting. This is when the problems began. A guy with a beanie on came walking around the corner and said “what’s the problem?” I said “I didn’t order a sandwich”. He said “we out of biscuits.” I said “okay, well I paid for a biscuit.” “Oh, we out of biscuits!” with a very apparent smirk on his face He said “what you want” And I said “my fries cooked?’!” Like what?!?!?! If you can’t even complete the order I paid for, at least COOK what you DO give me? And that’s when I watched them hand someone and order and watched them almost walk out the door as they scream “wait that’s not yours.” takes order back “Here you go sir” hands it to someone else I told them to keep my food. Very unpleased as I paid for an entire order and couldn’t eat AT ALL between the uncooked fries and low grade deli meat from the dollar general and a piece of bread. The bad thing is, as I was waiting for my food, I heard them tell another customer they’re out of biscuits. They had an opportunity to inform me way before I ever walked back to the third floor of my work...
Read moreI have gone to this new location and they have NEVER… and I mean NEVER gotten my order correct, and my order isn’t difficult. It is not like I go at the really busy times. I have gone when there was no one in the drive-through and I have gone when I was one of four in the drive-through. Every time and I mean every time, I’ve placed my order at the drive-through, the lady repeats my order Back to me correctly; however, when I get my order, it is incorrect. I order the number two or the number three combo slaw dog with slaw ketchup and cheese only. No mustard, no chili no onions… And that is what I say when I order. When I get it, it always ends up with chili on it. Is very frustrating. My mother went today and literally read my text order to the lady at the window exactly like I had told her. -The number two combo with slaw dogs with slaw cheese, and ketchup only. When she brings it home to me, there are two slaw, chili cheese, onion dogs It is very sad. I don’t know what is different because when it was at his previous location, I did not have this problem. When I look at the receipt every time the receipt is entered correctly; however, the food I get is wrong. The last two times I did call and speak with the manager and she corrected it and I went back and got the correct food ; however, that is very time-consuming and frustrating and it defeats the purpose of going through the drive-through. I should not have to do this. To say I’m disappointed is putting it mildly again. This only happens at...
