Pho Cali Vietnamese Noodle Soup &Grill — Restaurant in Macon

Posted two years ago, Edited 9.14.25: I can't believe I'm just now reviewing this place. I've eaten here a lot. One of the best places for what I call life in a bowl, a.k.a. pho! I've had their brisket, their tendon, their meatballs, their chicken, their tripe, their flank, and now, their vegetable pho! If i'm not mistaken, I believe the vegetable pho is vegan. It came with bok choy, broccoli, baby corn, tofu, spring onions, and other Asian herbs & spices in a clear broth. I think it was in veggie broth because the flavor tasted a little different, yet still oh-so-delicious! (I tried to empty that bowl!) Of course, the noodles are my favorite part. If you don't eat them quickly, they turn to mush the longer they sit. I added the complimentary add-ins: Thai basil, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of lime. I can't handle the chili peppers. I just can't hang! As always, the ingredients are super fresh so you'll enjoy a healthy meal.

The staff is on that 빨리 빨리 (pali pali - meaning quick, fast, with little to no wait time) game, as most Asian restaurants seem to be. My mother adventured with me this time. Hers came first. She had the shrimp fried rice, which did not disappoint. I had a pot of hot green tea, which was beyond plentiful. It felt like there was about 2-3 cups in there. I had 1½ and took home the rest, which fit a 20 oz to go cup perfectly. The small/regular bowl of pho appears large, which proves that you will definitely get your fill -- if you can finish it. (The bowl won this time.)

The rice dishes are delish! In the summer, I prefer a vermicelli salad that's light & refreshing. You choose the meat, comes with veggies, and a sauce. You mix it and dive it. The BAHN MI... oooooh the bahn mi... 🥹 is a soft, scrumptious sandwhich with your choice of marinated chicken, beef or pork, some fresh julienned carrots and cucumbers, and I believe a light mayo or spread. 🥲 It's so pillowy soft inside with a lightly crunchy outside. You won't want to stop biting and chewing. I miss it when it's gone. 😔😭 Your mouth will thank you for introducing it to this delightful dish. Dont sleep!

The restaurant is clean. Lots of tables with a good bit of room for large and small parties. There are kids portions on the menu and a selection of Boba teas, milk teas, smoothies, and flavored teas if you want to venture away from the usual sodas, water, and Southern sweet tea.

Went to dine in at this Vietnamese restaurant for the first time with the fam during lunch hours. I got a say i heavily admire the cleanliness and structure there is between the seats, chairs, floors, and even the display of television of the walls that makes you feel significantly comfy at home as you wait for a hot good grillin meal in the kitchen which absolutely brings a dazzling solid aestheic when walking inside for the bite. The menu while a little overly pricey in certain items still consist of a mouth full variety of options to choose from, the waitress lady was genuine, paitent, and kind to offer us some ice cold water while also throughly recommending us a few authentic meal options to throw down our taste buds with which was an incredible interaction piece we greatly experience that i dont get alot of out of friendly employee interaction for what it was worth.

Seeing as it was my first time I thought i select something small off the menu to soften my hunger so I went with the Fried Tofu and Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The Fried Tofu while having somewhat generic chew munch on the inside still manage to supply a hefty golden fried exterior crisp on the outside which rode my taste buds on a lava reef that generally came out bloomin in edible texture that standout even with the spicy sauce to give it a little pop. The Grilled Chicken Sandwiches I ate had such an enrich succulent mild flavor between the bread roll and pieces of chicken that were authentically cooked with light glaze sauce which sent my taste buds to a loud club party left and right in my mouth, even the extra topping of cilantro, carrots, and fresh jalapeños truly cultivated the boiling erosion fuel of what made this sandwich a righteous slap stick delight in the mouth hands down. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pho Cali Vietnamese Noodle Place once again, and it was yet another delightful experience. This restaurant continues to impress with its delectable dishes and warm hospitality.

To start, I ordered the fried tofu roll as an appetizer. The crispy exterior paired with the tender tofu inside created a wonderful texture contrast. However, what truly elevated the dish was the accompanying sauce. Its flavors were absolutely divine, adding a delightful tanginess that complemented the tofu rolls perfectly. It was a wonderful start to my meal.

For the main course, I opted for the vermicelli with seasoned pork, and it was a fantastic choice. The vermicelli noodles were cooked to perfection, providing a satisfying base for the dish. The seasoned pork was incredibly flavorful and tender, showcasing the expertise of the kitchen. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.
