This Dillard’s in Macon, GA followed me and my daughters around as if we were common criminals. I had my 10yr and 22yr daughters with me for a shopping spree. I paid for my 10yr daughter clothes ($400+) and we were just walking around waiting for my oldest daughter to finish. Then, I noticed a white man with a cap and an Asian woman with a black shirt that did not appear to be shopping following and crossing our path as if they were watching us. I inquired about them from a cashier and she confirmed that they were likely from the loss prevention team. I can only assume we were targeted because we were black. In the mean time, white patrons particularly 4 white teenage girls were trying on clothes and making TikToks but I was the one being watched. My other daughter’s total came to over $1300 and I paid both in full with my Platinum AMEX. I do not steal nor do I have to. This is totally unacceptable for a store that I have given business to for over two decades. I will be filing a BBB report as well and writing the corporate office for how this loss prevention made me feel. I mean isn’t that why you have cameras. Following people is so 1999. Totally...
Read moreWent looking for a simple black dress, knee length, within the $50-$75 range. Hah!! They had some beautiful ❤️ dresses, don't get me wrong. But 3-$400 is just a bit too much!! And I'm not talking about a prom dress either! I can see paying more for a once in a lifetime 👗 for prom. Those will be special memories that will last a young lady for a lifetime!! Well, we finally noticed that they had some discount racks. It took us an hour to go through them, but I think my friend finally found a dress she liked for $70. It was still a little more than she wanted to pay, but at that point, she was just happy to FINALLY find one she liked & that actually fit her! As far as the sales people were concerned........ Not 1 person EVER asked us if we needed any help!! And I know we were there almost 2 hours, but no sales clerk was interested in helping us. I guess we didn't look high society enough for them or maybe we didn't look like we had enough $$ to spend in their high end store!! Too bad bc there were 3 of us & we were all looking to buy a dress, but after we saw all the trouble she was having, we decided to go...
Read moreI have been a customer for 6 years, I go there every 3 months and buy at least $800 in shoes, normally over a $1000. In April I went like I normally do, there was a short heavy set white guy that was looking at us all the time ( at the shoes dept), anyway $1200 later we are paying and the lady is running my card and the other cashier I'm a loud voice, in front of everyone said.. what did the buy? Shoes only? I said..anything wrong..she said LITERALLY..IS AN ALARM IF YOU SPEND OVER A $1000, that never happened to us before. You can have your rules or whatever you want to call it, but PROFILING IS WRONG. So today 07/01/24 I went and asked for the manager and try to explain what happened at the en of April...OMG, TALKING ABOUT UNPROFESSIONAL, she got upset, never apologized, stared raising her voice and that's when I decided I wasn't going to lower myself and I said bye to TERESA, the lady that had taking care me for years and left, I hope someone will take care this, you can have you rules, but there isn’t anything that says, you have to make a customer embarrassed and feel like a CRIMINAL, TOTALLY...
