I'll be honest with you I've had a wow for about 3 years they are so terrible I do not recommend this company I was paying for internet $600 I would only get speeds around 300 that was on ethernet wireless the best I could ever get was about 250 when I upgraded to internet one gig they told me that it would increase and it would be so much better what happened was from there was I upgraded to 1 gig I was paying $85 a month with the wild price lock and the home protection plan just to find out that it was the same thing they lie about their fiber it's which is not it's co-ops that they use they don't use fiber they lie about that I had to cancel my service and I just recently canceled my service right now what I would do is do not go with this company stay away I would not be coming back with them I had to switch to AT&t and ever since I switched to AT&t fiber one of the best for $90 it's even better all I'm doing is paying $5 more than what I was paying before with wow 85 I do not recommend this company at all this company's a rip off they lie about their internet speeds and they lie about increasing your bill which is a can lie and they added the price lock to $10 that's insane when it was thoroughly $5 like 4 months ago and then they try to raise your bill and then when you try to cancel they give you a hard time and when you try to return your equipment they want to give you a hard time on that like they said that I was credited $17 because they said I overpaid when I really I did it I paid $74.99 because I downgraded my internet to internet 600 and then they said when I went to go cancel it today they said oh you overpaid so we're sending you a check of $17 and whatever and then I contacted them again because the lady decide to hang up in my face and I told them that I would like to return the equipment and they said sure what would you like to go through they said there's a store around your house that you can just drop it off and I said okay so how does that stuff work The guy that I spoke to he couldn't even answer I had to ask him multiple times if he goes oh I'm sorry now I understood what you were saying I apologize for that and I said that's kind of sad and then he said you can wait 5 days you can either have it go through FedEx or USPS and I told him I would like UPS and that's when he told me oh I don't know if he'll go through UPS even after he said it would even go through UPS so I call him in a lie I asked him 10 minutes later on the phone kid would it be going through UPS and he said I don't know it could go I don't have that decision even after he said 10 minutes ago that it would be going through UPS I would not recommend this company at all they're terrible their speed is bad and their equipment's bad but it's just insane how he lied 10 minutes later saying no it would not go through UPS and he doesn't know if it would that's insane 10 minutes after I asked him he goes I don't know I asked him literally and he says I can't say but he goes all out of no under your account that doesn't make any sense how you going to add a note to something's account I get it you add somebody I know under the account I prefer UPS because that's the only exposed door that's by my house FedEx is over an hour away where I live I'm not going to drive an hour away just to deliver stupid package so that's why I say they can't even get their stories straight through UPS I don't recommend them even their return system when you request UPS they will say oh well we can leave a note even after they said that it would be going through them That's why I don't recommend them because they say UPS you have that option you can choose what you like and then he says oh I don't know That's what I hate about this company because when I asked him to have it go to UPS because I can tell even though he said he would he said yes it would It would go through there and would have been it would go through to that carrier or what goes to the company or it would go through that provider or that return system or that...

First, if you have an issue with service, it takes days for someone to come out. I had one tech who said I need an electrician and it's going to cost $4,000 in work to get what I need. Another tech, very unprofessional, came to my house washed his hands in the kitchen sink, then sat on my dining room chair, and asked questions, ended up leaving saying the problem was resolved but literally didn't touch anything except the sink and my chair. I dealt with connection issues without any resolve and ended up switching services. Upon installation of new service, the work the Wow tech said would cost 4,000, was completed in under 30min, at no extra cost. Customer service, is AWFUL! I couldn't believe the disconnect and misinformation that was continuously provided. Thought maybe it was a one time thing and someone was still learning. But everytime I've called, I'm told something different. In regards to returning the equipment, one rep told me I will receive an email with instructions on how to get equipment returned. A second rep told me that I should receive something in the mail with guidance on how to get equipment returned. Sometime later, I ended up receiving a statement, a bill for said equipment at almost $600. The next day not even 24 hours after receiving said statement, almost $600 was deducted from my bank account. I had yet to receive anything in the mail and have not received one email in regards to this. When I called to inquire, this rep, told me that I could just drop the equipment off at a location nearby. If that was said to me from the beginning then all of this could have been avoided but that was never presented as an option. She then said after I return it I will receive my refund within 7 to 10 days. So I return the equipment and called to inquire about my refund a few days later. Now this rep, who was the worst of them all, and the worst customer service rep I've ever dealt with, she tells me that I have to wait 16 to 20 days for it to process and when it does I'll receive an email on how I would like to claim my money back?! I was asking questions and trying to get some sort of clarification on this whole situation and she wouldn't let me talk, she continued to speak over me and I even said so you're going to speak over me, and she says yes! Her name was Ann. I am so disappointed and fed up with this whole situation and my entire experience with this company from beginning to end and still happening even after I've canceled services. I am going to make multiple social media post and hope that people make the right choice to save some time and money and do not sign up for the service as there will only be disappointment...

However, after this interaction with the company I have switched over to another company and warned my friends to cancel their service and switch. Many have already done so and left WOW negative reviews, because the quality of service from WOW is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I purchased the TV, phone, and internet bundle. The internet was horrible, one moment we were connected to the wi-fi and the next we were without internet for hours. We also lost our TV signal more often than we watched TV! The main issue was with our phone service, which is the main purpose for this review.
As a business owner, I am very dependent on my phone service especially for invoice faxes. I paid for the package and requested my original phone number on file to be used. WOW told me my phone number was available and that the technician would set everything up for me. However, they ended up giving me a different phone number and did not even tell me which phone number they gave me! This severely impacted my business and I immediately went to a WOW location to speak to the management to resolve the issue. I was told I would receive a call from the management, but never did. When I finally paid for another technician to fix the issue, he actually told me to CANCEL my service! (You know your company is horrible when your own employees bash it!) I ended up canceling, but WOW charged me nearly $400 to do so, despite the fact that I explained that I should not have had to pay for a service I wasn't even using! I repeatedly told them I would not pay the fee because of the awful service we received and they said they would look into it, but the bill continued to be sent to me. They ended up sending it to collections and now my credit score has taken a hit, which is infuriating because I have repeatedly tried to get in touch with customer service about this without any resolve.
DO NOT GET SERVICE FROM WOW UNLESS YOU WANT HORRIBLE INTERNET/PHONE/TV SERVICE AS WELL AS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Switch over to any other provider. WOW is a scam and should be out of business!! After explaining to my friends and family what happened, they are canceling their service and leaving negative reviews too. My interactions with them from the beginning have been awful and no one should have their hard-earned money taken from them like this.
