Bealls is one of only a few places in Madison that you can get clothes, shoes, home goods, etc at a discount. Reminds me of a TJ Maxx or Burlington. The store is very clean and the employees are friendly. I went on a Saturday so they were pretty busy. I imagine a weekday would be the perfect time to go and they would be less crowded. They do have fitting rooms. I'm curious to see what happens when TJ Maxx opens as a new one is set to open late summer early fall next to the new Five Below. Shopping in Madison, IN is getting better with more choices available. I just pray they hire enough people so the ones working aren't plagued with being short staffed and overworked. Seems like nowadays chain stores do not care about paying their employees a sustainable wage. Therefore, the need to work is becoming more about survival and less about long term commitment to your job or career. Blue collar jobs and the American middle class is nothing like it used to be. Seems to me that in this current economic situation stores like Bealls won't last, but we'll see! My lady and I went to bealls in madison indiana and while shopping my woman found an item on the clearance rack for .25 cents but once at the register the price quickly changed to like 12 bux. We informed the cashier who then informed the manager Zoe. After showing them the tag and the item they told us that they would not be matching the listed price on the tag even tho the original tag and the sale tag barcode and upc were matching. So in my eyes that looks to me like a bait and switch. If I would not have been vigilant and caught this error we would have never known. Is this what Bealls is up to, get u to just check out and not honor their pricing. We bout the romper my lady wanted regardless of the price. So buyers beware Bealls will try and get u and they are not honorable or trustworthy. I've contacted them multiple times and they still wo t give me any answers or fix the issue.
