Just went into Kroger and use their coinstar, to cash in my child's Penny Bank, after having had count all the money at home, and coinstar machine stole money from me! I went to the manager to try to get the situation dealt with, they tell me to call coinstar to deal with it, that they're not liable. I'll call coinstar, they tell me to go tell Kroger staff to open up the machine because the machine is showing an error message on the counting! do not waste your time going to Kroger's wherein they have machinery that will steal from a child!
okay now I can add on to this review, as I called coinstar, told them what happened, they checked their machine and found out that there was an error in the counting machine! when the lady at open the machine at the store you could see a big pile of coins sitting over on the right hand side, not inside boxes, as the person at coinstar explain to me they would be in, therefore that money would have been mine! I go back to Kroger store to speak to Leann, the general manager as she explains herself to be, and Leanne allows her employee William to be rude and disrespectful to my seven-year-old child! This gentleman stood livingly over top of my seven-year-old child when my child was trying to say something to him and said I don't know I don't care! you don't speak rudely to my seven-year-old child! How dare anyone speak that rudely to a child, let alone and employee! He did this in front of the general manager and she didn't send him home, she didn't fire him, she just sent him back to the back of the store! on top of it the general manager I asked him if he said that, after first trying to cover up for him and say oh he didn't say that, and he looked at her and said yes I said that! I want everyone that reads this review to call corporate offices for Kroger and tell them what happened and demand that both of those employees...
Read moreI took my seven year old child into Kroger to cash in his coins at CoinStar tonight, only to have a large amount stolen! We counted out almost $73 dollars in change before going, only to be given a voucher for $37.93! I went and spoke to the manager "Lee Ann" about this, only for her to act nonchalant, and uncaring about it. She said there wasn't anything she could do, for me to call CoinStar. NOT TRUE! I did call them, to find out she should have got inside and got all the loose coins NOT IN THE BLACK BOXES, and re feed it thru the feeder! I was told to go back up there to get my money back. I went back, and the Manager(G.M.) "Lee Ann" came walking up with a man named "William". I told her what I was told and she started to call someone. My son standing by this "William" came running up to me and said "Daddy...he said I don't know and I don't care!" I turned to him and said "What? What do you mean...and then I turned to "William" and said what did you say...for him to say, "I told him I Don't Know and Don't care"! He did this in front of the G.M. and when I said are you going to let your employee talk to my child like that? she said..he didnt say that! I said "yes he did, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!" She turned to William and he said.. "YEAH I SAID THAT!" She didn't fire him, as she should have on the spot for being blantantly rude to a child inside a Kroger store as an EMPLOYEE and REPRESENTATIVE for Kroger!!...

Little Totino's pizzas that cost you $0.98 at Walmart: $1.49 at Kroger's.
Lean Cuisine entrees are $2.79 at Kroger, either $2 each or $2.50 each at Walmart!
My small-town basically has three choices for groceries, Aldi's, Walmart, Kroger's. None of the three can supply everything you need in every category as far as groceries go. My answer has been buy everything at Walmart that I can, and only go to Kroger's for special needs. I laugh at their low prices everyday advertisements on TV!
Even Krogers in-store signs don't match up with a price you pay at the checkout... The sign on the Coca-Cola's said"$3.69 each with card"... I paid $5.49. I have argued this point several times with them and they promise to take the sign down.... they never have, because it leads to Too Much Profit!
I threatened to boycott Kroger's many times, but the convenience is the fact it's a lot easier to get in and out of than Walmart, and I want a Tostitos bag of chips, not a "Toasty-Mosty" bag of...
