If We Could Go Every Day, We Totally Would – 88 King Buffet is Our New Favorite!

If you haven’t been to 88 King Buffet, you’re seriously missing out. The food here is so good, my husband and I would honestly go every single day if we could. But we might end up needing new pants if we did—because once you start eating, you just can’t stop.

The variety is out of this world. Whether you’re craving sushi, stir-fry, or just a mountain of crab legs (we all know you’re eyeing them), 88 King Buffet has it all. And don’t even get me started on the dessert bar—I think I’ve tried everything, and let’s just say my taste buds are living their best life.

It’s one of those places where you try to pace yourself, but halfway through the meal, you realize you’ve had three plates of food and you’re still eyeing the dumplings. If eating here were a competitive sport, we’d probably have medals by now.

The staff is always friendly, and the place is always clean and inviting. So, whether you’re there for a quick meal or planning your 5th helping, you’ll feel right at home.

I could eat here once a week a decade ago. Took a break when Covid hit, tried to return last year, but it's just not right. The taste is off. The overall facility is dirty. It has vibes of Ponderosa when it was on it's way out, like they're trying to scrimp and save to save a dollar to keep it going. The crowd that frequents it anymore is just kind of gluttonous and pushy, like they want to run you over and eat as much as they can, with no concern as to what it is they're eating. The drink girls/bussers are more concerned with getting plates off the table than anything else. They'll take a dirty plate off a neighboring table with a gloved hand and take your cup for a refill with the other hand and bring yours back with the same gloved hand they handled the used plates with. I have eaten here several times and it was always clean and their food was delicious. Early this evening I picked up 4 plates before I found a clean one then when I got back to the table there was something inside my glass! It was dirty too! The whole place seemed dirty as well. The food was barely warm and some of it was barely cooked. I ate what I could stand then went back to the food bar. Again had to pick up 3 plates to find a clean one! The gentleman from the front was at the bar and I told him I am very disappointed this time. He did not care. I got a couple pieces of fruit and got out of there as quick as I could! It's highly unlikely that I will go there again. Oh and there 5 booths with people in the section where I was seated and in every booth someone was coughing like crazy! Nope this was my last time!
