I am not a fan of negative reviews, but they happen. I try to stay positive, but there are very few clothing stores I don't mind shopping at, Kohl's is one I don't usually mind, but this experience was just so frustrating. Also if issues aren't brought to people's attention they have a habit usually stick around longer than they need to.
No need to deep dive into this but it was our experience today. If you have been to Kohl's you know they have that little maze to get up to their registers like most places have. Well that place was having awful issues with lines. I do got awkward picture that I'll attach. Basically there was about 15 people or more waiting in this line to check out and there were three cashiers and one manager/supervisor up front. It was that perfect storm of a Manger helping what I am guessing was a difficult customer situation while another was waiting for him, and then one poor cashier that was actually taking care of the line. Instead of literally taking one second to look around to see what what's going on around them they just kind of stayed in their own little world and let the customers sit and wait. Then one of the cashiers went on break so that didn't help. Also we were next in line to give a frame of reference. Still no back up and the line was getting longer. I was about 10 ft from a manager when he finished up helping the cashier and still didnt look at the line and I yelled "can we please get the more cashiers" and he ignored it and walked away and I know he could hear me because I have a pretty loud voice and he was right beside me. The people in line laughed at my comment and it was followed by another comment from customer saying "this is ridiculous".
Anyway to speed this along, other employees did come up but it was to drop of clothes and walk by us. So, that wasn't great. I feel for the employees that were up there because they look like they were trying their best and I'm assuming this is because of labor shortages, but again there was help all around us and somebody needs to know.
My wife also made the comment about possibly making sure your employees are healthy, because the poor lady that checked us out was obviously sick and she coughed over everything we bought and it was such a sad sight. đ
I'll update this with future visits because my wife and I really love the clothes there, and she really loves the clearance section LOL. So hopefully we can turn this around one day. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for reading đ...
Read moreUnfortunately there isnât an option to rate zero stars. Purchased a cordless Dyson at Madison West after a lot of research on cordless vacuums. I made the plunge and hurried home to try it out. I tested it and it worked great. The initial charge is 20% so not a lot of life. I dug in the box for the charger...no charger. Called Madison West and was transferred to Home Dept. and was told to bring it in for an exchange. I explained there were no more in the store and could they check to see if any other local stores had it. The answer was, Iâm in Shoes and itâs really far to the Home Dept and my best option was to just bring it it. I thanked her and told her she really was of no help and that I would myself call other stores. Note I live an hour away from the Madison West store farther away than the Shoe Dept to the Home Dept.
I then called the Madison East Store. They confined they had none in stock and basically return it or order online and return the original purchase. The initial purchase was on sale and the online purchase is $50 more. I asked if they would do a price adjustment for the new one. I was told probably but not sure. I then asked if they would order a replacement and I would come in and exchange it. Nope canât do that. This lady talked to the manager and that was all that can be done. She also admitted she was new and didnât know why she should be answering the phone. My parting words, youâve been really no help at all.
So I will contact Dyson directly to see if they can ship the charger. A replacement Dyson charger is $35 on Amazon. I may need to go that route. What a hassle and waste of time . Iâm amazed at the lack of skill and effort the service people...
Read moreWarning... Won't support or refund if packages aren't delivered. Over Christmas I had purchased over $600 in gifts to be donated and they got delivered to the wrong address because UPS had a delivery confirmation photo of someone else's house. When I chatted with support and called the local Kohl's they said I have to take it up with UPS they can't help me. UPS said to take it up with Kohl's or my credit card company... My credit card company says the packages show delivered. I had several shipments in this order and did receive a few in which went to a neighbor down the road. She left me a note and put them on my door step. She says when she called Kohl's to tell them they told her to KEEP IT and they can't do anything about it. She couldn't believe it herself. Fortunately she was kind enough to bring me those boxes but she didn't get them all.. Who knows where they ended up. So I had to reorder everything I needed which was no longer in Black Friday sale so I paid way more for everything and lost out.. In fact on top of that, I was late in getting the gifts in to the donation center. Sorry to say but Kohl's will no longer get my business and if you still choose to I'd be careful around the holidays with lots of orders...
