Menâs Wearhouse made our groomsmenâs wedding suits fairly easy.
Originally and admittedly my spouse and I wanted a different look for our wedding than what was available for rent from Menâs Wearhouse. Unfortunately though, their prices just couldnât be beat. Upon seeing what I had picked out for my groomsmen to wear, I was more okay with deciding on Menâs Wearhouse. Plus, there was the added benefit that I was told by staff that since my wedding party had gotten fitted for other weddings with their business that they could just pull up their measurements and none of my party would necessarily need to go in store. Once the fees were paid on my end and it was time for my party to fill in their info, each one of them were told that they would end up having to come into the store anyways for a fitting as they actually couldn't transfer the measurements after all. Not a big deal, just a little annoying.
Come to when my party received their suits the week of the wedding. Three of my six groomsmen had issues. One of their pants was so small they couldnât pull them past their calves. One of their pants was so big that they would have needed a belt. And the other didnât realize until actually being at the wedding that he didnât have the pocket square that I had paid extra for. As for the issues with the pants, kudos to Menâs Wearhouse for being observant and hasty as those two of my groomsmen were given new pants that worked fine before the day of the wedding. However, because of the slip up with the pocket square for my other groomsmen, we decided to just not use the pocket squares so we all matched and so that ended up being an extra cost for nothing.
For what itâs worth, Menâs Wearhouse was simple, offering various styles for rent that probably match most peopleâs expectations for a wedding. We wanted tan/beige suits and so we were limited by our own regard, not Menâs Wearhouse fault. But from the time of fitting to the day of the wedding would have only been a matter of six months and so I donât think my groomsmen could have fluctuated sizes that much. Again, Menâs Wearhouse made this right in a good amount of time. Still, there was some stress on my end wondering if ends would be met in time. The pocket square issue was fairly annoying. In the end, I was just happy that everyone looked good throughout the entirety of the big day and that there werenât any further mishaps. I would still recommend Menâs Wearhouse to anyone looking to rent suits for their groomsmen. I should note however that to avoid any issues on my end that I had bought my own suit somewhere else and had it tailored somewhere else as it made me feel far more...
Read moreBrides and Grooms, please don't make the members of your wedding party go here. Long story short - my rental arrived 1 day late and the suit jacket was badly wrinkled. For some back story, I placed my suit rental in April for a Thursday pickup in September. Since I live 2 hours away, I called at noon on the schedule day of pickup to confirm my rental was ready for pickup. I was advised that it was not yet in but it would be there by 3pm and they would send an e-mail as soon as it arrived. I hadn't received an e-mail by 4:30pm so I called to check on my rental. It was at that point that they noticed based on FedEx tracking that the suit was likely still in Memphis, TN. I was told my rental should arrive the following day but they also placed another order just in case that package got lost. The unfortunate thing was that I already have a fully booked day the following day and had no flexibility to pickup the rental that day. I had planned all along to pickup the rental on Thursday. I came to find out that Men's Wearhouse only shipped the rental from their distribution center on Wednesday with overnight shipping. They really need to account for shipping delays since they do happen from time to time. It's not FedEx's fault my order wasn't available for pickup on Thursday, it's the fault of Men's Wearhouse for not adding any buffer. I ended up having to have someone else go pickup the suit for me and bring it to the wedding rehearsal on Friday. That's when I discovered that the suit jacket was badly wrinkled. At that point it was too late to do anything about the wrinkles and I just had to wear the wrinkled suit jacket to the wedding. At no point did anyone from Men's Wearhouse apologize for the delay or offer any form of a refund. While it sounds like the majority of the time things go just fine here, I don't agree with their business model of getting the suit into their location on the same day that it's supposed to be picked up by the client. That is just asking for trouble and isn't fair to the client to have to scramble like that at the last minute and wonder whether or not the clothes will be coming in before the wedding. Other than arriving late and wrinkled, luckily the clothes did all fit since I wouldn't have had time for them to make any adjustments. The shoes were probably the most uncomfortable shoes that I've ever worn though and that's not just my opinion, all of the guys in the wedding party said the same. Save your wedding party a lot of stress and go somewhere else for your...
Read moreHad a very confusing experience with a sales associate here on Sunday, 8/18/24. When I entered, I was greeted politely and asked what I was shopping for. When I told them I wanted something for a garden party wedding and the colors I had in mind, the sales associate was very kind and took me throughout the store to try on several jackets. I found a jacket that I loved but they didn't have my size in store. The sales associate found it online and said she could order it for me online. I then went to try on a pair of pants. Once I found pants that fit, I told the sales associate that I was ready to be checked out - she was working with another customer and said she would see me at the register.
This is where things turned around for the worse in a very confusing way. I was waiting for quite some time, when she came up she registered me and gave me the total for the pants. I told her I wanted the jacket as well that she said she would get me online. She told me she had to cancel the order and start again, with some snark. Then she called another associate over to help and the other associate told me that they weren't able to order the jacket and that I had to do that myself. Without explaining anything else, my sales associate started ringing me up for my pants. I told her that I didn't want the pants without the suit and she immediately put the pants away and said "Well, thanks for coming," and ignored me.
While all this was happening and we were checking out with her at the register, she was greeting customers and asking if they needed help and also reacting very rudely when they didn't answer. Completely not paying attention to the customer (me) in front of her.
I do not understand why there was such an abrupt change in attitude, I do not understand why I was treated so rudely despite trying to buy a suit, and I do not understand why I was brushed off so suddenly, despite being completely willing to continue shopping to find something else.
I ended up buying the suit online because I absolutely loved it and needed it for an upcoming wedding, but I was treated so rudely by this sales associate, that I will likely never...
