The store appears clean, spacious, and full of bargains, but please cross-reference with the regular store because sometimes it may be just a few dollars less, and not worth the delays, or poor service that I will address later after purchase. If you live in a nearby commuting area, it is much more convenient to have these open box items in one location.
The staff was good but may have been overworked due to a few on the massive floor, and after that, this is where it all falls apart. Please inspect these open box items carefully and ensure that you can live with a few dents, scratches, and other dings.
Do not go there and argue about how the item appears; they have all had issues (OPEN) like many other things in life today. (Lol)
Most importantly, despite being aware of the risk, some of these open box tickets may have hidden structural damage issues, especially if cracks are covered with tape.
You may notice a small dent at the time of purchase, such as on the refrigerator, but the other internal areas may have deep cracks.
Another disadvantage picking up and installing these items yourself runs the risk of voiding any warranty if a problem develops, and you must buy new connectors and a power supply for the installation, more money.
Delivery Nightmare: Unfortunately, there appears to be a major disconnect between online, customer service, geek squad and physical outlet who supposed to deliver, pick up, time, date, or what is on the order.
This is just my feedback: after a two-week wait, I drove over 60 miles approximately three times back to the location where a washer, dryer, and refrigerator were supposed to be delivered and installed, only to be informed of the delivery, items were not in the warehouse, truck broke down, on a dolly, on its way from the warehouse; in transit, or it needed to be picked upby the customer, despite scheduled to be delivered instead. which one is it?
Do not try calling the local store, it is worse than the item arriving home.
I have been waiting for two items for four weeks, escalated twice, and call back
Yes, the second manager I spoke with after three trips to the store assured me that they would expedite, but that did not happen.
"We ordered a dolly service, and it will be there tomorrow. Still waiting. Call 1800 BESTBUY. " They, too, are unable to reach the local store and only have the same technique as the customer.
I have also spoken with two manager several times, and it will be accelerated once more.
I am not sure what other excuse they have, but the system must be purged before a new timetable, and 7th re-schedule.
After the irritated manager reiterated that the item will be delivered without hook up, this happened, order cancelled twice, not picked up by customer. Today marks day 30, not by the customer.
Rescheduled for another week, and to be told again on delivery day that the item may be in transit, or may have not gotten to the warehouse that is less than 50 miles from the store.
Several disconnect keeps occurring with the local Is the item still in transit or at the warehouse? Does the order number match?
These things would have already arrived if they were from the Middle East.
The delivery time kept shifting. Maybe this is the reason many customers have not given up online shopping.
Even if these items are priced lower than regular in-store items, have dents that were overlooked, intentionally or not, are dishonestly from item to be moved from the floor to the customer's home; or simply a lack of coordination between the store, management over promised delivery knowing that it is impossible, or warehouse issues, customers will be turned off.
Finally, things happen that most of us have no control over, and while it takes more time and energy to write a negative review, they need to fix the company logistics, training to ensure that everything from point of sale to delivery and installation is on the same...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by sayint that I love Best Buy and have spent quite a few of my hard earned money here. The best buy outlet store in Manassas, Virginia on the other hand is a scam!!!! Yes you read it correctly, first of all if you think the store might resemble a regular Best Buy store then you are sadly mistaken. It looks more like an old Sears store than best buy. As soon as you enter you are see a sea of washer and dryers, some cooking ranges and refrigrators, freezers etc. You must be wondering about other electronics, I counted 50 total TVs and some were not very good ones, 1 small area of sounds bars/speakers, and just 6 small shelves of laptops locked behind the checkout counters. Other than the aforementioned appliances nothing else is displayed and when I asked about the laptops, I was told that they can show me how to look them up online!! Are you serious, I can do that, you do not need to show me. The whole point of coming here was to see the items myself and then decide what to purchase. The staff is pleasant enough, however I felt there were too many of them, and I saw them more chatting to each other than helping the customers. For example the gentleman who greeted me should have told me that laptops are not displayed, I could not even look at the boxes under lock and key and maybe read the specs and perhaps decide, instead of me wandering around trying to find where they were. Let's talk about prices: in my humble opinion this is where the scam is; one good thing of me wandering about this space was that I got to look at different items and there prices; upright freezer from Insignia, $15 dollars more here than at Costco and smaller size than the one at Costco. 2 door refrigrator with bottom pull out freezer, pretty much same price as other appliance stores and online. I looked at best buy outlet website for a laptop and found a Lenovo for 699.99 however something told me to look other online pricing and, here is the kicker, the EXACT same laptop on Best Buys Regular website is on sale for $549.99. What the hell Best Buy?? You say come on it was on sale, ok then how is possible that a brand new on ebay is 679.99 and on Amazon with the stylus pen is 699.99 and they are brand new and again I emphasize THE SAME EXACT SPECS as the one on best buy outlet website. This price pattern is repeated over and over again in the store and online & by the way I was not the only one, another couple seemed annoyed about the prices and some of the brands on offer at this store. Oh BTW, I was told about this store from the regular best buy store 2 miles from my house because I was looking for a deal on a laptop and this guy was super enthusiatic about sending me to the outlet store. Best buy it you are reading this let me tell you, I am now questioning your motives for this store and evaluating iif I should ever shop at any best buy store or website ever again, definitely leaning towars cutting ties with best buy moving forward. Last year and a half I spent over $41K buying all office computers, laptops, surface tablets for our 2 small businesses, in fact told my younger brother to buy 2 laptops for his kids, the point is I spend money at best buy and recommend other friends and family do the same. I am not looking anything from free or discounted from best buy or even an apology, I wrote this review to hold you aacountable for your business practices which are now at least in eyes are extrememly suspect and I am not asking for anyone to stop going to best buy, I want to warn then to be careful when shopping at best buy, as the saying goes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start off by saying that I don't usually file complaints or even spend the time to regester an account to file a complaints but my experience at BestBuy had me WANTING to let the internet know
This BestBuy store 356 is one of the worst place to shop. This store alone is the reason why I stop shopping at BestBuy. The BestBuy in Gainsville, VA is 100x way better and I would even say the one in Fairfax, VA has good customer service but the BestBuy store in Manassas, VA is terrible...
For example, I went in to buy a controller and a game because they were having a promotional deal after Christmas which gave me $20 off and if I buy $100+ worth of stuff, they would give me $15 gift cards and $25 for buying certain games and such. Will their own employees didn't even know about the promotions and I had to educate them on it when they should have known from the get go. This is the first sign of bad management... Employee made a mistake, I didn't get my gift cards but they fixed it by voiding the transaction and redoing it right the 2nd time. I came back the next day to trade in some video games to put towards preorders and spend about another $100 to get a $15 gift card, the same manager was working there and she started off looking annoyed. Not a good start... Traded in the games, gave me a gift card and here is where she was being VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I told her that I would like to cancel my preorder of a game and her first reaction was that she needed all the product with the gift card she had issued from yesterday. I told her that I wasn't here to return anything and was canceling my PREORDER which I used the gift cards for and redo it again in one transaction to purchase up to $100 on other pre orders so I can get a $15 gift card which I was going to use to pay part of my preorder games. She then looked at me all annoyed and said that I can't keep returning items and such and that she has the right to deny any returns. First, this is my first return and second, THEY SCREWED UP MY ORDER BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE PROMOTIONS. I kept calm knowing I was going to file a complaint. So after getting through all this mess and when all things was paid, she then pulled the recipe and with a grin and said "sorry but it seems like you are not eligible for the $15 gift card and I CAN"T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT." I told her that I read the terms and conditions and it states that the $15 promotion does not work towards purchase of BestBuy gift cards and any pre-paid money cards. Nowhere did it states that it excludes pre-order games which I spend over $100 on. She clearly didn't give a ** and wanted me to get on with it.... I'm thinking about canceling my pre-orders from this store and go all the way to Gainsville store and do it there.
The Manassas store is only 5 mins from my home but I will now avoid it like the plague. Thanks BestBuy at Manassas, VA store, you remind me why I stop spending my money at BestBuy. They need to fire or reevaluate their employees with secret shoppers because they have terrible customer service. They need to know that if you have promotions and guarantees, they need to honor it and not give us hard time for it. No wonder you guys are losing the consumer market. They treat you nicely when you are spending money but they treat you like crap when it comes to anything else that doesn't involve...
