Yesterday, on 2/12/2024, we brought students to Sky Zone Manassas, and it turned out to be an incredibly disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the behavior of the staff left much to be desired. Their unhappy faces and rude manner of speaking set a negative tone right from the start.
As soon as our students began to enjoy themselves by sliding, we were abruptly informed that the sliding area would be closed because the staff needed to attend to other tasks. Despite our just having started, we were met with excuses about schedules and staffing shortages. When I politely asked for a bit more time to allow the students to enjoy themselves, the situation escalated unnecessarily.
One staff member became increasingly aggressive and insisted on closing the area, while another employee, who initially greeted us with a "SMILE" at the cashier desk, sided with them, also adopting a confrontational tone. I was taken aback by their rudeness and shocked when the first staff member began to issue thinly veiled threats about how he could choose to be disrespectful if he wanted to.
The situation only worsened when another staff member intervened to understand what was happening. However, the most surprising turn of events came when the three individuals who had previously been confrontational suddenly changed their demeanor and accused me of misunderstanding the situation. They claimed that the area was closed because the children had finished playing and left, and that they had offered me the opportunity to continue, which I allegedly refused. It felt like a complete reversal of their earlier stance.
Overall, this was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an entertainment venue. The staff's inconsistent behavior and lack of professionalism made what should have been a fun outing into a stressful and unpleasant ordeal. It's disappointing to see how people can switch their attitudes so drastically and how customer service can be so poorly handled. I would caution anyone considering a visit to Sky Zone Manassas to think twice before subjecting themselves to...
Read moreVery disappointed with our experience today at Sky Zone. My 7 year old kid’s summer school group arrived 20 minutes early, as the confirmation email suggested to complete the waiver forms ahead of time as instructed and Despite this, our group—including my 7-year-old son—was made to wait outside in the heat and in their bus and was not allowed to enter until exactly 12:00, even for check-in.
One of our teachers, who arrived separately with students in her own vehicle, was treated very disrespectfully by the manager. When the children with her tried to open the door, the manager came out and spoke harshly, saying there is a private event going on—even though we were clearly scheduled and expected. When the teacher calmly signaled “it’s okay,” the manager accused her of putting a hand in her face and refused to let her in for the entire event, even after she explained that her child has a medical condition and she needed to be close in case of emergency. The manager dismissed her concerns and said manager also had the same condition, so it “wasn’t important.” That level of disregard for both safety and professionalism is unacceptable.
When our school principal tried to calmly talk to the manager, they refused to listen, turned their back, and walked away, saying they would only speak to a parent who happened to be present. Later, the manager’s manager told the group that 20 minutes would be added to our jump time to compensate for the delay at check-in. But in the end, the kids were taken off the floor exactly at the original end time. When our teacher asked about it, the response was that “you posted a low score review on google and argued for 20 minutes, that’s what you used the time for”—completely unfair and inaccurate.
Overall, my kid’s summer school group were treated with disrespect, and our children were denied the full experience they were promised and paid for. We hope others speak up and leave honest reviews so no more families or school groups have to go through...
Read moreIt was the worst experience for my 6yrs old kid, the staffs was not well trained they are not kind, no smiling on their face either. It was my first time to go there, and my kids want to jump in to the FORM PIT, so I went there. there was the safety rules and Form fit rule on the wall and I read it with my kid. But I didn't see the rule, jumper can jump ONCE only and need to get out to Exit.
There was 4 stations and my kid was line to wait her turn, and she jump into Foam fit once, and the staff went to her and said her to get out of here, my 6yrs old girl was scared and came out to me and asked me why he told just to me to get out ? Other boys are still jumping , but why only me ??? there was 3 American kids were jumping into foam fit several times. We are Asian. So i was standing and watching the staff, and line her up again ( there was not that many kids in the lane ), and 1 station was empty and she went to jump, after her jump, AGAIN, staff went to her to say Get Out of here with louder voice, so i asked him what is the wrong with her, why you keep yelling to my daughter to get out ??? And he said that is the rule to jump once and exit right away.
So i told him, why don't you tell to everyone about your rule ? why other American kids are keep jumping and you picked only my girl ?
He asked me that did they jump more than once ???? They were jumping from her first jump, it should few minutes, but you still didn't tell them to get out of here, and if it is your rule please put in on the wall with big letters, so even little kids can read it, you better not to yell to little kids to GET OUT.
The staff picked her to get out from the FORM PIT, it was ridiculous. My kids got a worst experience about unfair, discrimination by race.
I paid same money with other American to let my kids to have a FUN, but my kid got hurt by mistreated by not well trained young teenager staff. If you are not American, please KEEP WATCHIN YOUR KIDS, so not to be...
