You can find some great deals on Friday, and early Saturday, and that's about where it ends. After that, the staff starts picking out higher value items. Then, they do the following:
Repackage the higher price items in the back, and then bring them out with a blow horn announcement acting like it's brand new stuff on display. If the higher priced items are not selling on day one and day two, they are removed from the bins until the store reopens on Friday. It's amazing how the same items disappear and then magically reappear on Friday.
Customers who are more vigilant will notice that during the day, staff walk through and pick out higher value items for the above two practices. So there is really only the illusion that the same items will go down in price each next day until they are sold. I think these practices are deceptive and unethical.
I understand and appreciate why they don't let customers open packages in the bins, and at least that they let them take them to a table where staff will open it for them to review, before it is repackaged for sale to that customer or return to the bins. However, more than a few of the staff are rude and unpleasant. A few of them are courteous and approachable.
There is clearly a racial divide in how customers are addressed. When white customers are opening packages, they are hardly ever asked to stop. However, LatinX, brown, Asian, or black customers are frequently admonished, sometimes loudly and embarrassingly so, for doing the very same thing, opening packages to see the contents before purchasing. There is definitely bias at play here. It's like they know many white customers will not put up with that kind of treatment, but they expect people of color will. Sad.
I think this store can do so much better, if they fix some of these bad practices. By the way, customers just need to be more savvy when buying here. Frequently the items in the bins cost more than, exactly the same, or marginally less than if you buy them new online from stores like Temu, TikTok Shop, Alibaba, Amazon, and eBay. The bins contain many items valued at below $10 to start. So they are not worth purchasing until a few days later anyway. Also, if it's something electronic, it's better to buy brand new from one of these online retailers as you'll get a money back guarantee, because there are no refunds, returns, or exchanges here. Customers would be wise to weigh the balance. Two things that can help are Google image search, and the Transparency app, available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, to scan the Transparency QR code, which is visible on...
Read moreBought a dinette in May 2021. Very next day found a different dinette in another store that suited my needs better. I went to the store the next day to cancel and was told by receptionist this was not possible. It was explained all sales are final and they have had issues with customers wanting to cancel after ordering and a few weeks go by. This ties up stock so this is not allowed. I think if a customer wants to cancel the next day there should be no problem. The item was in stock (not a special order) ( or floor model) not put on a truck to be delivered yet. The store incurred no loss. On their website their mission statement says the customer will leave happy and their primary goal is amazing customer service. I have never dealt with a company that charged you to cancel the next day. I was forced to pay a 25% restock fee. The item was not delivered or a special order. The cherry on the cake- 2months to get a partial refund due to their credit card system which held the funds from the company and the customer to have a hearing to decide who gets the money in dispute. The company failed their mission statement, there processes failed, and having to pursue the matter continuously their communication failed. Recommendation: Go to a chain furniture store and avoid these scammers. Also, what kind of operation do they have? No one ever answers the phone with-"Elite Furniture". Every time I called someone answered-Hello??? This is a business not an individual. I went there many times to try to resolve this and another interesting fact- No customers ever in the store. Back to original question-What kind of "business" is...

Went in there only once recently on one of their $2 days. I was really expecting it to be like the last one that was here where by that time it would just be a bunch of broken and empty boxes or things that no one wanted. But i was surprised to see not only were all the tables still REALLY full of items but still good items. They had a section blocked off where you could see them restocking for the coming friday and there was a lot of really decent stuff that I could make out. Lots of name brand stuff. With how packed it was on the $2 day I can't imagine what this place looks like on Friday morning after restock.
Just be warned if you have an allergy or sensitivity to perfume this is not going to be a fun place. They have a table of perfume for sale on top of the I believe Indian (don't quote me) perfume they sell behind the counter. Because of this the places smells heavily of it and you will come out smelling like the perfume even if you didn't touch it.
staff was friendly and it looks like in the back they have a testing area where you can make sure the product is what...
