If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the second time my wife and I experienced very unprofessional behavior at this restaurant. I let my personal bad experience from last year slide, but this year the disrespect and unprofessional conduct extended to my wife and daughter. My wife had preordered tamales on Wednesday (12/20/23) as part of our Christmas dinner and was told our order would be ready at 1600 today 12/24/23. My wife went to the counter to pick our order up and was told they didn’t have our order and that the restaurant was now closed for the day. As my wife was trying to tell the staff that we had preordered that previous Wednesday, she was responded to in a very rude and snarky way that they had ran out of tamales and that the restaurant was in the process of closing. The employee then proceeded to sit on the counter and ignore my wife (and rolled her eyes) while another staff member echoed the same sentiment. This is disgraceful. People work hard and some sacrifice a lot to make this time of year a little extra special by wanting to put delicious food on the table. I refuse to support an establishment that doesn’t respect their customers and then has the nerve make them feel unwanted rather then at least bring a little light to a situation. Again, today was the last time myself or my family will step foot in this restaurant as I’m sure similar local businesses will welcome you...
Read moreBlown away by how good and cheap this place was! The tamales were HUGE and tasty. The beans were flavorful. Even the rice was very very good.
I very much enjoyed all the flavors of the Enchiladas Guatemaltecas (Open face crispy corn tortilla topped with mixed vegetables and chicken, beets, cabbage, tomato sauce, boiled sliced eggs, onion and parmesan cheese.
My wife got the Plato Tipico (basically the Typical Plate, and it had 2 tacos dorados, 2 pastelitos de papa, 2 garnachas, 1 Chile relleno served with tomato sauce and salad) All of it was delicious and the serving was HUGE.
My kid got the cheese pupusa and while different than the Salvadorian version, still good and not as greasy. She also got this super refreshing Lemonade drink that was made with mineral water.
Service on the restaurant side was excellent. Everyone was very sweet and attentive. On the bakery side the one girl working the cashier on the evening of Friday 5/17 was rude and unpleasant.

Read moreI only give it 2 stars because I do have to admit they’re bread is good. Other than that, last time we visited the floor was truly disgusting. I went over to the restaurant side and it was even worse. I could not take a picture for the privacy of those eating in, but come on, at least keep it clean. The service is really terrible and it is not the first time that happens. Not sure if the ladies are being held hostage or what it is, they treat you like you’re asking them for a favor. At the bakery, there were two girls ordering bread and they lady with orange hair even rolled her eyes at them. The lady with black hair was even worse. I would feel embarrassed to bring a friend over to eat with all that, which is a shame because it is one of the only Guatemalan restaurants in the area, but it looks more like a restaurant at a bus terminal...
