When we stopped by the store, we had come from some other places that sold furniture (the mall, home goods) and the experiences were mediocre at best and frustrating at worst.
Right away, someone greeted us and got the vibe that we were ready to look but not to chat yet. They pointed us toward the general stuff we were looking for (everything is spread out, which made browsing more interesting, including some tailored spaces with a full compliment of realistically placed furniture) and here and there as they passed us while working, they'd comment on something we were looking at or ask a question to aim us at some other options.
Once we decided what we wanted, they measured the critical dimension of the pieces (the dimension that had to fit through the door) and we went home to measure it and confirm they could be delivered. Once we did, we called the store the same day, and they took our final order over the phone and emailed us copies of the receipts and work orders.
The first delivery was rescheduled due to snow, and they called us promptly at 9am that day to let us know we needed to reschedule. When they did finally make the delivery, they confirmed in advance with a call that we were ready to take the order. The guys who delivered the pieces were friendly, fast, and didn't damage the furniture at all as they brought it inside and placed them where we wanted them. They assembled the bits they needed to, I signed the work order, and they were done in less than 30 minutes. They'd have been even faster if we hadn't been chatting along the way.

Courteous and accommodating staff, no sales pressure at all, attential to detail to avoid complications, prompt delivery with friendly staff. To the rescue.... "Oak Warehouse", (previous name) on Manheim Pike. Jay, the owner, led us through the spacious showroom, with many computer desks on display. "There it is!", my husband pointed. My perfect rolltop desk, complete with 8 various sized drawers for my secret treasures! As the years passed, my specific needs kept changing. A smaller desk for my laptop. A new coffee table with much needed storage. A contemporary lamp which offered superior lighting. This store has it ALL! In addition to the most popular styles of furniture, Jay has consistently given his customers many unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. I still have a tall, polished metal torch lamp, which I've never seen anywhere else. After all these years, it still fetches compliments. It's always a pleasure to walk into this store! Jay is super friendly, as is his entire staff. You can take your time browsing through the enormous showroom. No pressure from anyone! When you've found the items on your wish list, Jay will get everything organized for you, including amazingly quick delivery, usually within 24 hours!....(and you thought Amazon was fast?!) It's time to re-think online furniture shopping. Sit in that rocker recliner! Lay down on the comfy mattress! Recline on the modern three piece sectional! It's smart to try before you buy! Read moreThese guys have completely botched our delivery that we paid an additional fee for. I lost an entire work day waiting around for them as they continuously pushed back the delivery time all day long and then when the piece arrived it was damaged so I wasted the whole day for nothing. Finally they go to redeliver it today and again communication is just poor and lacking any type of system of professionalism. It’s sad because we’ve spent a lot of money here over the years and got treated so poorly. When I called the guy basically said I should be happy I didn’t have to pay for the second delivery like it was doing me a favor. Wow…We won’t be returning and I highly recommend not using their delivery services.
Edit to respond to the owners response: What are you talking about out you were inconvenienced? You inconvenienced me. Your response barely makes sense. When I called the store no one tried to help resolve anything. I was told I didn’t have to pay for the redelivery and that was it. Well no duh I’m not paying you for messing up the first delivery and having to do it again. Clearly you don’t value your customer’s time and you provided zero customer service and made no attempt to resolve the issue. Don’t play this off like you’re doing something positive in your response which is barely coherent...
