Panda Buffet and Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Mankato

Went on Friday evening 8/8/25. All dishes that I had were great! Good selection of classic "American" Chinese dishes as well as some more familiar dishes for kiddos or pickier eaters like french fries. There were dishes for a little more adventurous eaters with some spicier selections. What I liked most was that the dishes were not overpowered by sweetness (even the coconut and honey chicken dishes) as well as the spicier dishes like the "Thai" chicken. Enjoyed some salmon and freshly hand rolled sushi (two workers at the sushi station keeping it stocked) and a variety of beef, chicken, and veggie dishes. I appreciate the extras at the sushi station like ginger and the salads. My only wish is that there were more traditional Chinese dishes like mapo tofu, ho fun, rice noodle rolls, bao, and more dumplings! Perhaps a dim sum section in...

Never again!!!!! Did you like the “old” China buffet before the lady sold it to the new owners???? Then you will like Panda because she’s the owner with the same old corner cutting food. Beef broccoli with no beef, chicken and mushrooms with no chicken and fried shrimp the size of my pinky(she used to use large ones at her old place). And don’t get me started on the sushi!!!!!! She put leftover fried chicken from the sweet/sour chicken as filler!!!!!!! Really!!!!!!!. Everything is the same as old china buff except that it’s clean because it’s new (for now). WOW! this place is fantastic 👏 They opened up in August of 2025 I believe so this place is CLEAN BRIGHT FRESH very very clean the hours and prices and clearly stated from the entrance the bathrooms the dinning area everything was spotless very nice decor not over the top Very nice atmosphere the food was very fresh and everything was hot temp wise , excellent selection of items I highly recommend this place , the sushi bar has a good variety they offer the most popular rolls and do it very well the shrimp tempora roll was great , sweet sour chicken amazing they use a...
