All it took was one person for me to give this place 5 stars. Christina was amazing and everybody else that worked with us that day. My husband came in with a Winchester pump action because someone at a different location forgot to remove the security lock from the trigger. While he was there getting the lock off, he asked about some shells and we were given the wrong shells by another employee there and it caused our new gun to jam up when we went to go test it out. By the way, we are first time gun owners. We wanted to return or exchange the ammo so I called Academy back while my husband and a couple of men were helping my husband in-jam the gun and was informed about the no return policy on firearms and ammo. However, CHRISTINA (OR IS IT CHRISTINE) worked with us. She explained several times to me that there was a no return policy but still worked with me and understood that it wasnât our fault after speaking to the man who gave us the wrong ammo. Like she really went back on the no return policy to help us out. On top of that, another fellow helped us pick the correct ammo for our gun and actually checked the specs before handing us the ammo and sending us on our way. The greeter was stupendous too. My grandma told me to look for the receipt for the new shirt that they brought in the truck I got it and said sorry there was a mix up I was very nice about it and gave her the new receipt. She said no were is the old one my grandma gave me the one old one she gave us back she looked at it and said âno this isnât the oneâ and kept on saying that she didnât seen this receipt and says about the new one.    Read moreI normally have great experiences at this store and the cashiers are always super friendly. However, today I went to get a new pair of shoes, with one being on display. I walked around the store to see if there was anyone available to cut the zip tie off of the shoe. No one was available, but this was not the problem. When I went back over to the shoe area, there was a shorter bald man helping another customer. I simply stood back and waited for him to finish helping the customer. He clearly saw me and walked right off when he finished helping the customer. I had to say, âExcuse me,â for him to even acknowledge me. He quickly cut me off, sounding extremely annoyed, and said, âI donât know, this isnât even my area!â He did end up getting the shoe for me once I explained that there were no other employees on the floor. It just saddens me to see employees being rather rude to customers who are being friendly. I go above and beyond to be nice to customer service workers and he couldâve handled this situation much better. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe he was new (his badge said he started working in 2024) but I hope that in the future he doesnât take it out...
