My wife and I visited the First Watch in Arlington on Cooper Street several years ago, but my memories of the experience are vague. The newer location in Mansfield on Broadway, however, stands out more clearly.
One thing I recall about the Arlington location is that the parking was quite tight. In contrast, the Mansfield location is situated by a shopping center with plenty of parking spaces. Nearby, you’ll find Academy Sports and Outdoors, Banfield Pet Hospital, and McAlister’s Deli.
The interior of the Mansfield First Watch is spacious and bright, featuring large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The dining area is filled with tables and chairs, and there's a separate room with glass walls and a glass door, perfect for those seeking a quieter dining experience. For those dining solo, a counter seating option is available.
The menu at First Watch is extensive, offering a wide variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast selection, which included many classic favorites as well as healthier options. I ordered the Hawaiian French Toast, while my wife opted for the Florida French Toast.
As a coffee lover, I was delighted by the quality of their coffee. I enjoyed it black, without any cream or sugar, and learned that it was their own brand, sourced from a women-owned plantation in South America. The beans were Arabica, known for their superior flavor compared to Robusta. You can even purchase their coffee at the check-out counter.
The service at First Watch was excellent. Our orders arrived promptly, and our waiter was friendly and efficient. The check-out process was smooth and convenient, with a QR code on the bill allowing us to pay without waiting in line.
The prices at First Watch are reasonable, and the restaurant is extremely popular, attracting customers from all age groups and social backgrounds.
Having enjoyed breakfast so much, I'm eager to return and try more dishes from their menu, particularly for...
Read moreI had an alarming and unsafe experience at First Watch Mansfield that leadership at the highest level needs to be aware of.
I was served food containing an ingredient I am allergic to, despite clearly telling staff about my allergy when placing the order. This is a serious health risk that could have caused a medical emergency.
When I called to address the issue, Felesha (answered under “Katie”) was trash completely subpar and nowhere near the level of professionalism your brand claims to stand for. She was hostile, sarcastic, argumentative, and repeatedly talked over me instead of listening. At 9:27 AM CST, she hung up on me.
I called back at 9:30 AM and spoke with Angel, who was no better. Her dismissive attitude, lack of urgency, and inability to take ownership only reinforced that this location operates with zero accountability. She said she had already spoken with the district manager who also displayed an unprofessional, privileged tone and offered no resolution, no apology, and no plan to prevent this from happening again.
This is not a “one bad apple” problem — this is a leadership failure. The entire staff culture here is toxic, untrained, and unsafe for customers, especially those with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
I am calling on First Watch corporate leadership to: • Conduct immediate allergy safety retraining for this location. • Replace or reassign individuals who cannot meet basic hospitality and safety standards. • Personally follow up with me regarding the outcome of your internal review.
If you ignore this, you are sending a clear message that customer safety and respect do not matter at First Watch.
Until I see proof of real change, I will warn others to avoid this location. Food should never come with a side of health risk, disrespect, and corporate...
Read moreHad a reservation, still ended up waiting about 40 minutes for a table, not the end of the world. While we were waiting the host came over to talk to us, pointed at a table and said they are almost done eating. The person at the table saw him point, very unprofessional and embarrassing. The menu is trying way too hard, busy, and takes 30 minutes to read as you sift through all their "gluten free" and "organic blah blah blah" tags every other word. Water seemed to be unfiltered tap water, putting it in a glass carafe doesn't make it taste better. Food was disappointing. My son's scrambled eggs were visibly dry. Pieces of bacon that were 1/4 overcooked and 3/4 floppy not cooked enough. Potatoes were not cooked through and hard. The eggs Benedict was a trainwreck. If you are going to have a classic brunch spot, that is the one dish that anyone in the kitchen should be able to make flawlessly. The hollandaise had an absurd amount of lemon in it, which given the atmosphere and vibe of this resteraunt I assumed they went heavy handed on the lemon to brighten it up, which is fine. But they went so far past that point I couldn't taste the ham, egg or anything else. Just lemon. The eggs were barely poached enough to hold up, and both egg yolks broke by the time it got to the table. I don't think I will be trying this place again, was not impressed. The majority of reviews for this place being 5 star is a joke honestly. Some of you need to get out more before you review resteraunts. Pick a lane, either be an upscale resteraunt that charges more and has amazing food, or rework your menu to reflect the subpar food youre selling. It felt like overgarnished Denny's food with a side of pretentiousness instead of just having...
