This playground is a hidden gem! It had been 5 years since we last came and it has been a great surprise to come back and see the new trails. They're great! The best thing now, the playground, we never paid attention to it before and now that we have kids we loved it! We went on a chilly weekend morning and it was all to ourselves. It's in the middle of the baseball fields, perfect for the kids when parents are cheering on their athlete. We had a blast!

Mansfield’s Field of Dreams. James McKnight Park East has that classic little-league energy. Big ballfields, stands for parents, and a concession stand smack dab in the middle of the complex. Makes me want to put on the glove again and chase some foul balls. This place is built for summer game days, has plenty of parking, and looks even better under the lights. Easy 5-stars from me ⚾️

This is a very comfortable park! I had my engagement photos taken here! They turned out beautifully! I only wish my shoes hadn’t fallen apart in the middle of my session bc we would have gotten more done here! The playground is new and the walking trails are very clean. The trash was empty and the grass is taken care of promptly!

James McKnight Park East is a family fun oriented park right off the 287 near The Shops at Broad offering many luscious green grass and trails to explore!

Parking is relatively easy due to the large parking lot that is provided. The park is easy access from the freeway as well or from entering one of the many shopping centers in the area. They have a gazebo that provides seats with many benches and tables that are shaded. There are also 4 baseball fields nearby where you can play a quick game of baseball, softball, or maybe even kickball! There are restrooms, BBQ grills, picnic areas, and more. This park also connects to the Walnut Creek linear trail and leads to many of Mansfield City Parks in the area.

This park has trails and a map of where the trails go to at the front of the park. They have landmark numbers all throughout the trails just in case an emergency or accident happens on your adventure. The cool thing about this park is that there are trails that lead under the freeway when crossing through, and I find that amusing. Dogs and pets are allowed but must be on a leash at all times when visiting. Overall, this park is great for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors and likes nature. This would be a great park to host birthdays and other special events...

SAD! Although the facility is nice, we were OBVIOUSLY shorted time on the first game of bracket play. Our girls finally got motivated and were coming back. We were vistors, got our outs, and home plate umpire calls ballgame. 3 and a half minutes on the board clock. After being questioned, umpire said we were going off his clock. That would make sense bc I've officiated for 15 years and understand but in order for that to work, the time would have had to expire right at the last pitch bc home team was ahead. Otherwise the umpire would have and should have announced time had expired and that would have been ballgame at that point due to home team being ahead. Selfish and sad to take away from the girls and sad for the director to support it....
