Told co-workers about place. It was one of their birthdays and first time for them. Upon their arrival at about 5:00 the establishments system was down. They left to pick me up on Cooper after waiting for a while. We called several times before returning. After being on hold for several minutes the phone was disconnected. This happened multiple times. We drove back and arrived their at about 5:50. The hostess was friendly and we sat in the bar area. We were passed up several times by waitstaff. Finally a light skinned African American male, who was carrying a white box, said he would be our waiter but he had to put the cake up. He returned with menus. We wanted to order for happy hour and more even after happy hour was over. Not once was water brought to the tabke even after we placed an order. However two tables over seemed to be getting catered to. Once again he came to the table to deliver a message from the manager. At least that's what he stated. The message was that he would allow us ine round of drinks and one appetizer. We were confused because we clearly was there before happy hour was over. If he had taken our order when he walked up this shouldn't have been an issue. I've been here before and wasn't understanding the lack of enthusiasm he exhibited while waiting on us. We waited and waited. Still nothing was brought to the table, no water and no drinks. I observed another group of people arrived and sat near the window by the brewing looking room. The African American female quickly brought menus and water to their table. By now it's 6:18 and the waiter never returned to the table. We never received water or the three other waitstaff who continued passing by even tried to see if we needed assistance, etc.. I understand they have their own zones but clearly as they passed by several times and nothing had been served you'd think someone would have been trained to ask and assist. Didn't see the waiter at the bar ordering drinks or anything. I was embarrassed and perturbed because they had driven from the Southwest side of Ft. Worth to come there and it was my choice. I apologized and ultimately decided to leave. I sat in the car near back entry watching and for additional minutes no one still came to the table. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone ever again. Believe me there's been several large groups of us there even without me. I'll take my chance with the HEB or I 35 traffic. I was truly disappointed and felt as if our table had been overlooked due to the location eventhough it was surrounded by tables on each side being served continuously. We understood happy hour was almost over but we had planned on waiting on another person and ordering more drinks and food to celebrate the birthday. I would love to rate the food and drinks during this visit but unfortunately we didn't receive any. Furthermore that was just bad business, lack of communication and poor customer service. If there was an issue the manager probably should've addressed it not sending someone who didn't have the complete information to relay to the table. You never know who may be visiting your establishment or the influence of the community leaders they...
Read moreOur server Shawna was AMAZING and gave us five star service. She was attentive and super friendly, made a point to be kind to my two kids, and was patient as we had questions and substitutions when we ordered. If reviewing solely for our server, it would be 5 stars easily. Our food also tasted good and came out in a reasonable amount of time. But the service we received from the host was awful.
We arrived at about 2 pm for a late lunch. 5 people - three adults and 2 kids. I asked how long the wait would be for a booth and was told 30 min or so. We sat in the little adjoining lobby area and waited. 40 minutes later, we were still waiting. We saw three large groups (10-15 people) get seated before us and assumed we would be next since we were now the only people waiting. We could see clearly into the seating area and saw several booths of people get up and leave. The booths sat empty and still we were not seated. We then saw several groups larger than ours drive up and come in and get seated right away. I went back to the hostess to ask when we'd be seated, since it was now 50 minutes since we arrived. She told me a group had just left and they were cleaning our table. We continued to wait. 10 minutes later we still had not been seated. We moved into the waiting area right in front of the host's stand to make sure they could see us and were not forgetting that we were there. We then were finally seated at two tables pushed together, which would easily seat 10 people. I was confused about why we were made to wait for this giant table, when I had asked for a booth in the first place. My husband went to ask if we could sit at one of the empty booths right next to the table they'd pointed us toward and they acquiesced.
I gave three stars because like I mentioned, our server was awesome, and we enjoyed our food. But I wouldn't come back here again after the rude service we got from the hosts. Reading other reviews it seems like they clearly have an issue with their...

Dear Manager,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the experience I had last night at your establishment, 54th Street. My visit was marred by a series of unfortunate events that significantly impacted the enjoyment of our meal and overall dining experience.
Upon arrival, my food was initially delivered incorrectly. Despite bringing this to the attention of our server, the replacement order was also incorrect. Additionally, we experienced a prolonged delay in receiving service, as we had to repeatedly search for our waitress to address the issues with our order. This resulted in a significant wait time, during which the rest of my family had already finished their meals. We waited and hour for our corrected meals to come back out
I was particularly disappointed with the lack of proactive solutions offered by Nathan, the manager on duty that evening. Instead of taking ownership of the situation and providing a satisfactory resolution, he seemed to offer only excuses, further exacerbating our frustration.
As a long-time patron of your establishment, I have always held 54th Street in high regard for its quality of service and cuisine. However, my recent experience has left me questioning whether this is still the case.
I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and address the issues that arose during my visit. I sincerely hope that steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future, as I would like to continue patronizing your establishment with confidence.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon to discuss how these issues can be...
