Unlike Goodwills in the valley, they actually have decent prices here. But minus 1 star for being closed on Sunday - a big shopping day for 9 to 5 ers. -1 star for not sorting clothes by size; no one shops by color. -1 star for the guy being rude to me when I tried to drop off some nice used items. -1 star for not pricing each item & having ghetto handwritten signs for pricing per section. Whoever is running this store shouldn't be. I realize that Goodwill has sorted by color for years, but that is not the correct way to do it to have normal people with normal jobs come in to try to save some money on clothing. Every other thrift store in the world sorts by size so that they attract customers who don't have all day to look at every tag in one color or the other. I'm sad to see Goodwill going so downhill. When I was a child and my mother was a single working parent we went here often for basic needs. But now they have so much junk mixed in that should have been thrown away instead of brought to Goodwill that it takes longer to sort through. The way they display things is so unprofessional, I found some beautiful wall hangings that were just on the floor slammed against each other where one glass was cracked and ready to shatter onto the floor. If these stores were not government-funded they would have been shut...
Read moreUnfortunately, we encountered an unprofessional and ill-mannered supervisor. She was in the right to inform us the store was closed for the day - that was not the concern. Her body language and tone were completely uncalled for and frankly rude. Goodwill prides itself in providing jobs. Whether her job is unfruitful or poorly paid is not our concern. But she must understand customers at this location keep her employed and all must be treated with decency. I'd like to reiterate, it wasn't what she said, it's how she said it displaying no customer service skills. I worry her tone persists with others due to the nature of the regular humble customer. I hope that is not the case. I understand we have bad days but people are paid to work and must at least be respectful and courteous while on the clock.
For future shoppers, please be wary and do not allow anyone speak to you in this manner. I hope she has superiors who can review this comment and address this lack of leadership and customer service by providing her with further professional development and training on how not to talk...
Read moreFirst time stopping by this goodwill in Manteca. Few things that upset me here. The girl working the register refused to sell me a doller tree item that had no price tag. She said at minimum it would be 4.75 I pointed out it said on the bottom it was from doller tree…. Like what the hell are we doing here this place is a crime. It was a dirty Santa that had red marker all over it lol the nerve of this worker though to be like I can’t sell it without a price and at minimum it would be 4.75 the way my jaw hit the floor. I am not the smartest with my money but I know when I am being scammed and this place is 100% a scam. Lastly it was a very grubby store. Dirty crap all over the floors shelves had items thrown all throughout them will be notifying corporate and sending the videos I took. Pretty disgusted with...
