If I could rate this Costco any less, I would. I experienced racial prejudice around 3:10 PM Thursday, January 5th, 2023 by both a supervisor and employee. My mother whom was at work asked me to put in an order for a cake, so that she could pick it up around 12 PM the next day. As I walked into the store, I was stopped and asked for a Costco membership card. I stated I only needed to put in a cake order and asked if it was okay for me to do so. The lady at the door said no and called the supervisor, immediately. At that point I was calling my mom, who is a VERY BUSY nurse by the way, to send a picture of the card. She was unable to find it and needed to get back to work. The moment we hung up, a lady without a Costco card present walked into the store and stated that her son was right behind her and she wanted to get started shopping. They let her pass no questions or hesitation. God is my living witness. Their store cameras are too. I asked what the difference was between her and I. The supervisor tried to lie RUDELY and say that she had her card and showed it, but lying is NOT tolerated so I reiterated the scenario back to him to let him know 1.) I caught him in a bold face lie and 2.) I was also standing right there. If they were worried about stealing or whatever the case may have been, they shouldnât have been because I had nothing but a jacket with my keys, phone, and wallet on me. I had just gotten off of work still in scrubs. She had a purse. Whatever the reason, still not okay. The supervisor then offered to escort me to the back of the store to put in a cake order. I only agreed because it was something my BUSY MOTHER who was doing a 16 hour shift at the hospital asked of me. Both on the way there and back to the front of the store (Yes he stayed), he stated she was just doing her job. I said if she was doing her job properly, the other lady should not have been allowed and instead told to wait. Better yet, escorted as I was around the store since they have the time and employees to do so. You can not pick and choose when and with whom you want to do your customer service due diligence. The supervisor even apologized which lets me know he knows they both were wrong. I loved Costco as a kid growing up, so I express with deep disappointment and worry that Costco stands for anything and hires just anyone. I really wish I remembered their names, but I was so distraught and in a hurry to leave one of the most uncomfortable atmospheres I have ever been in. I will never in my life return there again. It may be a bit dramatic to some, but I stand for something. I do not pick and choose which patients at the hospital get my compassion and trained skills and when. I do my part each and every time because I stand for something and that is my corporationâs name and the people that help make my days possible and worthwhile. Do better...

I recently ventured into the hallowed halls of Costco, a place where the lines are longer than your average traffic jam, the carts are bigger than your average car, and the food samples are more enticing than a freshly baked cookie.
Let me tell you, it's a sensory overload. The moment you step inside, it's like being hit by a tidal wave of oversized products and overwhelming smells. The air is thick with the aroma of freshly baked pizza, hot dogs, and whatever mysterious concoction is being sampled that day.
The first thing you'll notice is the sheer size of the place. It's like a warehouse, but with friendlier lighting and a slightly less industrial feel. You could probably fit a small country in there. And don't even get me started on the carts. They're so big and unwieldy, you might as well be driving a tank through the store.
The next shock to the system is the sheer volume of people. It's like a human traffic jam, with everyone pushing and shoving to get to the best deals. You'll find yourself dodging stray carts, weaving through crowds, and occasionally getting elbowed in the ribs. But hey, that's all part of the Costco experience, right?
Then there are the samples. Oh, the glorious samples. They're like little tastebud vacations, enticing you to buy things you never knew you needed. From gourmet cheese to exotic fruits, there's something for everyone. Just be careful not to overindulge, or you'll end up waddling out of the store like a stuffed turkey.
And let's not forget the bulk buying. You'll find yourself buying a year's supply of toilet paper, a lifetime supply of laundry detergent, and enough snacks to feed a small army. It's like a real-life game of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," except instead of money, you win a mountain of household goods.
So, if you're looking for an adventure, a workout, and a serious case of impulse buying, I highly recommend a trip to Costco. Just be prepared to emerge exhausted, overfed, and the proud owner of a giant tub...
Read moreWe were unaware of having the person who is accountable for the Costco membership card be there during checkout. The woman during checkout called for someone to help. The person helping is named Ben. Before the woman even told him the problem, he was already looking unfriendly. He did not smile or say hi or anything. He had a serious face as if he was mad when he came over. The woman told him the problem and he replied to us rudely and in a rude tone. We told him we would wait for the person who is accountable for the membership. The person accountable is our grandpa. Not even five minutes passed, and he rudely came up to us asking if we needed help with anything after we already agreed to wait on the side and wait for the person with the membership. He expected that the person was going to show up fast. He was not patient at all. After our grandpa showed up, he had to help us again and he was rudely yelling at our grandpa. Our grandpa showed up to get yelled at by Ben. We customers did not know so I am not sure why he expected us to know as if we work there. I am pretty sure that as an employee, they should respect and treat customers with great service. I do not understand why Ben was being rude and treating us as if we were retarded. He criticized me for not knowing these and assuming it was my second time here when it was not. I am not sure why he is making assumptions about his customers in the first place. There was also another woman employee who was being too touchy with Ben. Physical touch with another worker is not professional in a work setting. Ben was letting it all happen while they were gossiping rudely about me and the person I was with. I am sure that gossiping in a work setting is not professional either. It is what high schoolers do. It is a childish behavior. Both Ben and the woman were staring at us as if they did not have manners. I was not being mean or anything to him the whole time. I let it happen because I was too shocked that he was acting like that. I hope that this issue with Ben gets solved because that is no way to...
