Firehouse Subs Arbor Lake — Restaurant in Maple Grove

We have been to Firehouse now two times. The food the first time was great, the second time, we left before we ever even finished our ordering!!

The first time, it was around dinner time and after realizing we didn't get the pickle that comes with the meal, we asked if we could and they said the pickles were put away for the night. I do get there is a clean up time, but the pickles are part of the meal, and its still dinner time so why are they put away. With an annoyed facial expression from the male worker, he went to get us pickles.

The second time just this past weekend (12/7/19) we went in, a long line at the end of the counter waiting on sandwiches to be finished. We were never even greeted or acknowledged when walking in the door, or told there would be a wait or anything, which obviously we could assume by the line.. As we walk by the workers towards the registers, we over hear "They're just gonna have to wait, keep making sandwiches" .. which I can understand that there is a wait, but hearing that over any type of greeting, or apologetic "we will be with you soon!" .. is so rude! ... After a 5 minute wait or so, the same male worker from the first visit to Firehouse walks up to the register with an annoyed look and without any sort of "hi how are you, what can I get for you" or any acknowledgement just stands there waiting for us to order. So we start with asking for the steak sandwich ... first words from the worker the whole time being here "no more steak for tonight!" .... Annoyed from the second we walk in, to then hearing this ....we say thank you, and leave! ...As we walk by the same line of people still waiting on their sandwiches!!

Horrible experiences both times, rude and disrespectful employees, and why is the food always put away or not available when there are still a couple hours left in the night, MID DINNER TIME!!!!

When we left, our response was .. "I cant believe that is who we have representing our Maple Grove Fire Dept!" - if you hate your job ... go elsewhere! If you're that angry in life ... go get help!

Firehouse we enjoy your food when its available, but wont be coming back to the Maple Grove Location.

**In response to a previous review .... the same daycare situation was going on the first time we were there too!! Workers 3 kids sitting with their electronics in the corner...

Don't go here, you have been warned.

They left out 1/2 of our order, and then did not tell me until I returned to ask and they told me they were out. Furthermore they didnt offer any substitutions, I had to ask. (They were out of substitutions also).

Then to cap it off they told me they couldn't refund my money I had to do that online. (I didn"t ask for a refund, I wanted the food or a substitute). It felt like I was at the DMV for the amount of runaround and misinformation I got with my meal. But I get to call "Bobby" tomorrow for a refund. I guess so they can waste more of my time to tell me there's nothing he can do? I don't need more people wasting my time.

For the Franchise owner: you might want to look these reviews over and question who you have in charge creating all these bad customer experiences. You may not have a franchise...

I visited the Maple Grove location on Aug 9th for the 1st time and I will not be going back to this location. Apparently,1 of the employees had their children there and a guy. The children played in the soda machine,the smallest child used a chair to get up to the soda machine. The guy was go in and out the restaurant to a Chevy truck with 3 other guys inside. He also was going in and out of the trash/utility room located outside the restaurant. It was not as clean as it could have been. There were customers eating but I saw no one wipe down the area after the customers left. There was a small machine next to the soda machine that visibly needed to be cleaned. I expected the restaurant to be just as clean as any other restaurant and not have small children basically looking after themselves while their mother worked. I hesitated posting the review because I was thinking of the situation the mother must be in to have to bring her children with her so...
