Beware. Donāt get your windows/ screens or anything replaced here. They have attitude and donāt explain the process properly.
First time I brought in a window that needed new glass they forgot to give me the bottom part of the claim ticket. When I went to pick up the window with the paid receipt the person had some attitude and was like whereās your claim ticket. I explained to them I was never given a claim ticket. She told me that she couldnāt release the window without a claim ticket even though I had the paid receipt. She looked in the back and brought up what she had and I was able to point out my window, but hereās the ironic part the portion of the claim ticket that I apparently needed was attached to the other part of the ticket that was attached to my window. So the employee who checked the window in never gave me the bottom part of the claim ticket. Thatās on them but yet I was given attitude about that. So I guess as the customer I need to make sure to ask for my claim ticket??? Iām on it.
Part 2, as if part 1 wasnāt good enough. I checked another window in which needed glass replacement and this window had white stripping that went through the middle of it. The guy wrote up the claim ticket and taped it to the window and I said hey donāt I need that bottom portion of the claim ticket?? He said yes thats a good catch. I was like I know because the last time I got attitude from an ace employee about that. So clearly the people who work this counter havenāt been properly trained on how to use claim tickets. I picked up the window the next day and the white stripping in the window wasnāt there. I asked the guy about it and he claimed that the white stripping always breaks and canāt be applied to the new glass. I said I didnāt know that and I wouldāve taken the white stripping off myself before I dropped the window off. The guy at the counter asked me if the guy I dropped the window off with explained that to me. I said he didnāt and it wouldāve been nice to know that. Once again inconsistencies with the Marks Ace Ina staff.
Shame on me for bringing in the second window and Iāll be sure to avoid this Ace for window/ screen repair...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe took a screenshot door to be rescreenedcat this store . It had been scratched up bye our pet dog . The door was in fine working condition so the person at store suggested a pet screen which is more durable than typical type . We agreed and choice that type . After prepaying for this service several days later the store called to say the door was ready . We went to pick it up and the screen was installed so tightly that it had bent the frame terribly . The store clerk told us that was normal and it would be fine after installation . We then took door home and it wouldnāt work correctly due to the large bend in it , so we returned it and ask it to be redone . The clear agreed it was done improperly and agreed to have it redone . Two days later the store called saying it was redone and ready to pick up .we ONCE AGAIN went to the store to get it and the door was exactly the same as it was before . After discussing this with the store personnel it was determined that the door wasnāt redone and they mistakenly called us to pick it up . This time they offered to put in a regular type screen so it wouldnāt put as much stress on the door . At this point we were willing to accept any screening if done correctly . Two days later the store called and informed us it was ready again . This time the screen was put in extremely poorly as if someone with no screening experience performed the installation. , as well as the door still being bent from the previous attempt at screening . The clerk agreed it was poorly done and offered a refund in which we were left with no option but to accept . This is the absolute worst service Iāve had at any ace hardware in all my years of shopping . This store is not seeming to do anything to help its poor reputation and have lost many customers over the years due to this issue . Not hard to...
