Searched many places yesterday to find someone to repair my refrigerator before it completely died. Twice I was told by companies in Austin they did not service our area. The Sears service diagnosed my problem over the phone without looking and said I needed a new compressor, not sure how he knew that? He mentioned they only work on Wednesday to service people having problems with refrigerators. I am concerned about their business model, shouldn't we get back to resting on Sunday and work the rest of the week? I contacted Top Notch at 4:59 pm probably their last call of the business day, Thanks to the great referral from C&D Appliance. Top Notch asked me to call back at 9:30am and they would verify their arrival. They even called me at 9:30 my phone was on silence, I called them back and within 15 minutes they arrived at my home. For a week I have been enduring this constant clicking of a relay switch to the compressor on the Kitchen Aid Refrigerator, knowing it was going out. This part was replaced and within 5 minutes we were back in normal operation once again. Best ($192.08 ) I have spent. I almost purchased a refrigerator last night a Lowes for my garage to have a standby refrigerator in case we had to transfer food out. Can't THANK TOP NOTCH enough for their service and will refer them to anyone looking for...
Read moreThe only reason I gave them a 2 is because the repairman did call to say he had a cancellation and could he come earlier. He was called to repair my washing machine because it was leaking out the bottom. I heard him on his phone talking to someone saying "I have never seen this before. Yea, it looks like it is overflowing from to much pressure on the fill-up. He turned around and saw me standing there and asked if we had an increase in water pressure for any reason. I said not that I know of. He went on working on it and when he finished he said "will I think that all it needed was a water flow adjustment but if that didn't fix it he would have to come back and replace the water valve. He told me to go ahead and wash a load of clothes and if it leaked again to call back. I washed a load of clothes and it began making a screeching noise that it wass't making before the repairman worked on it. It was obvious he had not worked on a Maytag before and I certainly would not feel comfortable having him work on it again. I will call another repair company that...
Read moreMrs. Hanish had self cleaned her kitchen aid oven and it blew a safety thermostat I had to remove the oven from the wall to repair it. Before the repair was made she was given an estimate on what it would cost. She approved the estimate! Her oven was then repaired on her invoice it was written and I quote "advised customer to use a free standing fan pointed at the oven to increase circulation of heat away from the oven but it would be best to use easy off for self cleaning ovens. About a year or so later she decided to do self cleaning cycle and failed to take my advise once again her safety thermostat blew and oven wouldn't heat. She called us back to repair it. Her oven was repaired again and the labor was actually $10 less. If it was too expensive she could have not repaired it, and if she was so unhappy why did she call us back after she didn't take the advice. She also made accusations that she wasn't informed of not using the self clean cycle. Her old invoice was pulled and it was clearly stated...
