Michaels — Local services in Marquette Township

this was my first time in a micheal’s and we only needed to get one thing. we found our paracord very fast and it was cheap and that’s why i’m giving it two stars. but when were were checking out the girl, i believe her name was jax?? started w a j.she was on the phone trying to find someone’s credit card for them and she was telling us about it. saying the person lost it between there and meijer. we started to make small talk like “wow that’s really nice of you” like that wasn’t apart of her job and we were just saying that we wouldn’t go around calling all the other stores for them, because that was really nice of her?? the people who lost the card were more than capable of calling meijer and the other stores and that’s all we were getting at, that she was a good worker. she decides to say stuff like “i’ll try to hurry it up bc you guys are obviously anxious to go”… which was not true..? we were just standing there with lots of patience. and “have some humility, i would want someone to help find my card” like yeah that’s why we were complimenting you… “the energy is just so weird today” then she looks at my bf and goes “why are you looking at me like that”… just weird and rude…. he was just standing there. so off putting that i needed to make this review. genuinely never have had an experience like that…. ever. i like talking to people at check outs all the time…. this on the other hand definitely changed my...

Shopping in ANY store carries that awful risk of being ignored when you really want assistance - and if you're like me you just wonder if the hair is good enough, or if there's lunch residue on the face or maybe the outfit just sucks!! For my trip to this Michaels in Marquette Michigan I had two out of three no-no's going but this kind and thoughtful team seemed genuinely interested to help solve my small design issues. This is a true story. As I walked past the Frame Center and showed interest in some unusual prints the worker shared her expertise and I received an incredible educational lesson on this new technology for which I was very thankful! (And later noticed artwork of this technology hanging prominently in an upscale Hotel chain in Minnesota...(digression completed). I then wanted particular stickers and shiny baubbles.. a different worker understood and literally took me back and forth between the aisles because she knows her stock so well she could show me all my available choices! This store is clean, full of everything you could ask for, projects galore, and best of all it's people are truly interested in what the shoppers needs may be no matter how small. This was such a refreshing trip I stocked up on a few shiny goodies without any pressure whatsoever! Shopping here is judgment-free! Come as you are! It was obvious that everyone is...

The best place to get all of your supplies to create that masterpiece the world has never seen. Very well organized, cleanly and just charming in general.

On a side note, this particular Michael’s has a great working environment. Brenda and Amanda do an amazing job managing the store while valuing their employees and always bring the best out of them. Kayo and Bryce are aces at custom framing, and great teachers as well. Mary at the cashier is always in a positive mood and send you off with a smile. All the employees are great.
