Discount Tire — Local services in Marquette Township

I had to wait over two hours at the store even though I had an appointment that I booked online. The whole time I was there, people were calling/walking in to ask and see if there were any appointments for the next day and they kept being told "Oh, no walk-ins are welcome! Come on in!!" well that certainly explains why I was waiting over two hours past my appointment for my car to be done. My car was back in the shop for a grand total of 25 minutes. When someone books a simple seasonal swap at 5:15 (arrives early at 5:00) and has to wait until 7:25pm for my vehicle that is excessive and you don't need to be encouraging walk-ins and not disclose the expected wait time to those people. It affects everyone else down the line who prepared for winter and booked over a month ago. I was also not the only person in the very full lobby that had to wait that long past their appointment. I was extremely disappointed. Cherry on top: I received a text at the end of my service stating: "Next Visit Tip: Buy & Book online for a 30% shorter avg wait time". - I did book online, so we see how helpful that tip is!

Additionally: They broke my tire stud, told me, but stated "we don't replace studs here" you'll need to go to another shop." Well all of the other shops have quoted me over $100 to fix something that they broke. Completely unacceptable.

My wife, two dogs and I were traveling from Ontonagon County to Muskegon County pulling a loaded 18' trailer. As we entered the city of Marquette, my low tire warning came on. I saw Discount tire up ahead and pulled in to fill my tire, hoping it was just low due to the cold. That was not the case; whereas as tire technician checked two other tires, my problem tire pressure dropped from 35 psi to 33 psi. Discount was fully booked with appointments and was scheduling four days out; but stated they would some how get it done by the close of the day. My wife and I watch all employees working their butts off. Each time it appeared they were ahead and could maybe squeeze us in, two vehicles that had a scheduled appointment would pull in. As it became apparent, squeezing my repair in between those who had scheduled repairs was not going to happen. So without a stall being available, my truck was backed up to the building and Joseph works on repairing my tire (in the rain) in-between answering the never ending phone and co-working the front desk with Cody. Joseph, Cody and the entire staff went above and beyond for us and everyone else that needed their service. THANK YOU...

During a road trip, my tire pressure light went on so I stopped at the Toyota dealer who told me there was a puncture near the sidewall that couldn't be fixed so they sent me to a tire place to replace the tire. I chose Discount Tires because my husband is a loyal customer.I was offered options for purchasing and I chose tires that could arrive at the store the next day and paid for them. They offered to put on the spare so I wouldn't be without my car. After helping to unload the back of my car, filled with camping gear, they took off the tire to verify the puncture. Turns out the tire could be repaired so they did the repair, refunded my money for the new tires and put everything back in place, even checking my other tires to make sure they were set and did it all free of charge with a smile. I couldn't be happier with the service and kindness I received. I will be back to Discount Tires for my next tires, and would return to this store if it wasn't two...
