PLEASE READ..... I am a local business owner in Marshall too, and the last thing I want to do is discourage local business. I have been in business for 25 yrs and I know how importance these ratings are, so please understand I am testifying to my experience only. 2 weeks ago I called Caron service to drop off my chevy Silverado duramax diesel with a blown break line and bad ignition switch. They asked me to drop off my truck Tuesday so I had it towed on Monday. ( I explained this is my work truck and needed it back ASAP so if you are busy please let me know and Iāll make other arrangements ) Wednesday went by no call, Thursday went by no call, finally Friday mid day they called me and said All of my break lines were rusted and Needed to be replaced and that the ignition switch was out of time and needed replaced. The estimate $2500.00. I was a little set back by that and told them I would think about it and call them back. I got on line and quoted new break lines, calipers ( they said they quoted worst case scenario expecting bleeder screws to break off requiring new break calipers) and ignition switch. Without sparing expense the break lines were $125.00, calipers were $57 each and ignition switch $32.00. So my math tells me worst case scenario Iām $ 400.00 in parts. So why $2,100.00 in labor. So I called them back. Courtney ( very polite and understanding) explained thatās just what the mechanic turned in as an estimate. I asked her if she could please just have the mechanic repair the break line and fix the ignition switch ( thinking this was an easy fix, after all it just plugs in. No bolts, or tools needed ) she explained that after taking to the mechanic and service manager they both refused to repair the break line because of liability issues. She said she would work with me on cost because by this time they had already had my truck a week. I asked her to please advise the mechanic to spray the bleeder screws with penitrating oil over the weekend so they would break loose. I did not hear from them again until The following Friday. Courtney explained that the supplier had delivered the wrong break lines and that the mechanic had installed them only to find out one side was too short and one side was to long. ( no kidding ). So now they were starting all over. A few days later I called asking about progress, she explained to me that the mechanic was bouncing back and fourth between several vehicles trying to get them done. The following Monday Courtney called me to tell me my truck was done and that she was working on my invoice etc. I showed up at 9 am the next morning to pick up the truck. She handed me an invoice for flipping $1972.00. This included a 10% discount. The mechanic broke 2 break caliper bleeder screws which had to be replaced. Just the charge for the $30 ignition switch was $441.00 to replace. It took me and my son less than 5 minutes to pull it and inspect it before I took it in. So why $ 400.00 in labor. The breaks only cost $ 350.00 in parts so why $1,181.00 in labor. My buddy replaced his own in 3 hrs in his garage. If it had not been for the ignition switch I would have done this work myself and spent $400.00. Believe me, Iām all for making a profit, but come on. So I paid what I calculate to be $441.00 per hr for what should have taken 4 hrs of work. For $441.00 per hr, I expect oil change time not 12 days because the mechanic is bouncing back and fourth trying to keep up,prices. Not $1972.00 and 12 days. Did I mention I have purchased 3 new cars from Caron in the last 4 yrs. a new chevy cruise, an exquinox and a sonic. Last check I write Caron. Ever......... I dont mind paying for good service when I receive it. This was beyond joke material. By the way, I had to bleed the breaks again because the pedal went to the floor. Tons of air in lines. Iāll do my own work from here thanks. Update: 12-3-19. Received a recall on my 2013 equinox so I took it to Caron for a window wiper motor. Fast and good job. Happy with...

If you want you vehicle damaged on there lot take it there. My vehicle was damaged and I was told to go to my insurance for the damage. I did not have the vehicle for a week and half.
Tim Rowe is worthless. Worst customer service and manager I have ever seen. His favorite words āDid you buy it here?ā It does not matter where I bought my vehicle. Iām paying you to have it serviced. This guy does not want to help the people that make his paycheck. He is rude and put off talking to anyone. He also refused to do warranty work. Wow. GM dealer refusing GM warranty work?
Thank you Tim and Ryan for damaging my vehicle while in your possession. Not doing the right thing or anything. All I got was go find a new dealer for service workā¦. Wow.
Ryan Denooyer. The so called owner. His favorite saying āSounds like you need to find another dealer for service workā This guy has no idea how to do the right thing or care. He is a silver spoon kid. Mommy and Daddy made the money and gave him this dealership to own/run. How does someone that goes to college for art and now owns a dealership? No oneā¦.
Ryan Denooyerās customer service is also horrible. Itās actually worse than Tim Rowe. Ryan refused to fix my vehicle that was damaged in his possession. Spoke with both in person and phone.
DeNooyer is not a good fit for the community. My family is in the medical field and we are making sure everyone knows to buy elsewhere. Definitely donāt go here for service either. Unless you want your vehicle damaged and youāre out of luck getting it fixed.
Follow Up To whom ever wrote back is 100% wrong. Spoke with Tim and Ryan. In person and the phone. Thatās the TRUTH!
Wow. You have the wrong vehicle too. I guess your dealership does not like to community to well. Read your reply.
If Ryan went to business school for business he is not doing a great job upsetting customers. Myself, the Buick person and Iām sure there are others.
This is a follow up to reply 3. Ryan, for a guy who like the ātruthā is a liar. During service. My vehicle was damaged. Obviously Ryan does not remember or care. As for the tail gate. Youāre right. I never said the tailgate happened on your lot. So you lied again. The tail gate was the worst paint job I ever seen. Runs, orange peel and looked like a 5 year old did the paint. No help from Ryan or Tim. Plus new damage brought to their attention.
This warranty work cost me over $1500. I had to repaint the tailgate and replace the broken item that happened on DeNooyers lot.
Another reason why not to buy from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would like to give a great big shout out and THANK YOU to Ray Hernandez at DeNooyer Chevrolet in Marshall Michigan. The love of my life Samantha Forster bought a new 2025 Trax and Ray put so much time and effort into us and our experience. This is a huge purchase that typically is going to be with you for awhile and Samantha and I were nervous and not really sure if we were making good decisions or what the best path would be for us Should we lease?Should we buy? Should we just not get anything and just keep driving our current Vehicles ( which are both in good shape and run well) Ray not only took the time to sit and talk to us multiple times, but also took the time to kind of explain our credit and what he thought would be the best choice for us and our future ( in terms of our credit, reliability of a vehicle, best options for extending our warranty to make sure we NEVER had to worry about a break down or being stranded or an expensive repair) If I honestly had to tell you how Ray talked to us, I would honestly say it kind of felt like a father trying to teach his children or like a best friend who is trying to make sure that you comfortable and taken care of. I understand that it is a car dealership and they get paid for selling cars and being nice. But that's not how it was or how it felt. Sam and I both truly felt like he had an interest and care about us and our future. Before this experience we have never been to DeNooyer or owned a Chevy. But bc of Ray and the time that he took with us and the choices he helped us make, I truly see a long and awesome relationship with DeNooyer Chevrolet. I am truly also greatful and we LOVE our new SUV! If your interested in a car or even just wondering about cost and leasing or buying a car, do yourself a favor and go talk to Ray!! ( Not to mention he is kind of a character, so it was actually fun sitting and talking and joking with him, not like some of the other stuffy uptight car salesman we talked to while we were out trying to figure out which car was right for us) 100% had we not come in contact with Ray, we would not have made the purchase and felt as good about it as we do. Ray for...
