Hello,

I wanted to pass along some thoughts. Your generally recent implementation of the cash-to-card system in Mashpee is something which is having you lose my business. I've been coming here for years, even as a kid in Chatham. It's been my daughters favorite place to go when they earn money that they save up to buy themselves something. In general I've just used my card rather than have to deal with the ridiculous machine, but then I can teach my kids how to spend money, count it, etc.

It's inconvenient, takes away from kids experiences, and honestly because of that makes me question why I bother go to an in-person store. If we're forced to use a card, I have no reason not to purchase items online for less money.

I can understand the business side, less service fees from credit cards, makes it fast to check people out, takes the work away from new employees who don't know how to use money. From a customer experience perspective, it places the time and energy on them when they are trying to pay you in legal tender.

Hope you reconsider the technology taking away from experiences. Until...

Went in with a group of friends, looking around the store, not disruptive or rude, just looking around. The woman who worked their first claimed the store was closing in 10 minutes and then soon after, less than 8 minutes said 2 minutes until closing. My group and I headed to one of the doors, but found it locked, and headed to the other door to find it locked as well, we were locked inside the store, which was not closed yet. Woman who was working there then said “I don’t play theses games, maybe next time don’t come in if you aren’t going to but anything” Not sure sure if this what you say to customers who were looking for something to buy, and also not sure if it’s okay to lock teenagers in a store. Again, We were not rude or disrespectful, and tired to keep the volume low, but think this was unreasonable and kind of...

Super quaint, super fun little toy store. This place is small, and it's PACKED. It has a ton of great toys to choose from, and has accessories as well (such as extra kite twine). The staff are nice and helpful, and it's fun to mill around to see what catches your eye.

Pro tip - I dropped this from 4 to 3 stars due to how tight it is inside. For those in a wheelchair, you may find parts of this store...
